Ok, so in Avatar, does Norm die?

He gets shot in the shoulder a bit so his 아바타 is dead. But then 당신 see him in the link chamber and he faints. Later on though the link chamber window is broken and because of that Jake almost dies due to the air but then he is saved as we know. Surely Norm, who has fainted just further down the 선실, 캐빈 then dies while Jake is having his "I see you" moment due to the air which almost killed Jake as he wasn't wearing a gas mask.
