Akane's just the most passionate girl in the entire series and I just gotta love her. Shampoo's got spunk, but I think the creator knows her characters better than any of us and had shampoo been destined for Ranma the cannon wouldn't have been Ranma and AKane, but it is and I think Ranma and AKane are made for each other. 100%. No question in my mind, those two are soulmates!

Akane's the most logical choice like you said, had Ranma been meant to fall for Shampoo then Takahashi wouldn't of made Ranama and Akane the cannon couple. There's no question who Ranma is suppose to be with. Is anyone really so full of themselves that they think they know better than the women responsible for creating these characters. I think everyones entitled to an opinion, but sometimes people just start to piss me off, and I hate it when people down right trash the leading lady of a series, don't they know there pretty much insulting the creator when they do stuff like that and if that's the case they have no business watching it.

Doesn't mean I don't like Shampoo, I just don't like her with Ranma, and apparently the creator didn't either. It just wasn't meant to be.

, my personal interests tend to lean toward cannon couples. Akane and Ranma were who Rumiko chose to be together, I think if you read more of her works, you could see the connection and not just be overwhelmed by Shampoo's looks and the way she talks. Many, I think, do not take the time to get to know the characters on a deeper level and then make decisions based on what's easiest to make sense of, instead of seeing whats actually going on. The love between the cannon couple, Ranma and Akane, is so tangent that I can't even play with the possibility of Ranma and Shampoo. I sorry, but in Ranma 1/2 I have watched this series and read the manga, carefully analyzing all its quirks and possibilities for over 8 years, so its quite impossible for me to be sucked into this delusion of Ranma and Shampoo. The cannon couple of Ranma 1/2 is Ranma and Akane, and that is reality.

Yes, when it comes to the series Ranma 1/2, the only girl Ranma was ever destined to love was Akane. I like Shampoo but she was just not destined nor made to be with Ranma.

Akane is the one who I believe was destined to love Ranma, well because for one the creator made them the cannon couple. They both love each other very deeply and I do not think anything should get between that .
Shampoo is a very fun character, and I would hate to see her disappear. I do not think she belongs with Ranma, but I would still wish the best for her.

i dont even think shampoo is good for ranma. individually the characters are fine, but shampoo and ranma would make a really bad pair.
