"Maybe if 당신 put your glasses on, 당신 would be able to see it." My friend Tom handed me my glasses. He's trying to show me a hidden picture inside a picture. I guess there's a hidden ship inside of the picture. The only probelm is, I just woke up.
"Maybe if 당신 let me wake up," I rubbed my eyes and sat up. "Why did my mom even let 당신 in?"
"Because we haven't seen each other in ages!"
"I would say 더 많이 like a year," I mumbled and tossed the covers off. I looked at my Yoda alarm clock: 6 o'clock... In the morning! "Tom, why'd 당신 wake me up?"
"Because I've missed you," he said softly and sat on my bed. He made a 강아지 dog face and looked down at me.
"Oh, don't give me that face! 당신 know it doesn't work!"
"It did when I asked 당신 to 키스 me." I looked in his eyes. The word "challenge" was writen all over them.
"That was when we were in 초 grade; It doesn't mean anything." I looked away so he couldn't see the pain in my face. He's had a crush on me since first grade, and he's been watching me fall in 사랑 with almost every guy I've met for the past ten years. He's never told me he likes me, but every one has told me he does.
"Maybe it means something to me," Tom patted my leg and stood up. He suddenly seemed interested in my 늑대 poster. I sighed and got out of bed.
"Tom, people have been telling me...things," I slid across the floor slowly, "They say 당신 like me, but 더 많이 than a friend. Is that true?" There was a long pause before he took a deep breath.
"No, you're my friend." That's exactly what i thought he would say. I smiled to myself before grabbing some clothes and got dressed, kicking Tom out of course.
*At park*
"Let's go climb the tree." Tom pulled me towards the biggest 나무, 트리 in the park. 당신 can climb up to the highest spot to sit and "people watch." This is also the same spot Tom had me 키스 him.
"Why do 당신 like this spot so much?" I asked.
"I call it 'Our Spot'," was his simple answer. It kind of sounded gay, but what ever floats his boat. We sat in silence and watched the birds, clouds, planes, and people.
"Hey," Tome tapped my arm, "you see those three kids over there? With the older woman and man and the guy with a suit on?"
"Umm, no. Wait... Yes, I do. Why?"
"They look familiar. Wanna get a closer look?" I didn't exactly answer his question, but I did start to climb down the tree. I almost fell because the wind blew my dark hair into my face. I waited for Tom to come down. He jumped off, which scared me.
"When 당신 break your ankle, I'm goin' to laugh." Tom scoffed at me and jogged towards the people.
When we got close enough to hear them, I tripped over a hole. I screamed loud enough for the birds to fly from a nearby tree. The kids stopped playing and looked over at me. Tom helped me up, but my left ankle gave out and i fell again. The man in the suit ran up to us.
"Do 당신 need help?" He asked, putting his hand out.
"No." I took his hand and he pulled me up, but I fell again. "Okay, yes." The man chuckled and carried me to the bench the man and woman were sitting at. They looked really familiar. I just couldn't put my tongue on thier names.
"Hello, sweetie, what happened?" The woman asked sweetly.
"Oh, I just tripped over a hole," I smiled softly, to be polite. Tom smiled too.
"You might have a twisted ankle," the man said roughly.
"Ah, that's nothing new for her," Tom put in.
"How's that?" The woman asked.
"I've been in fights and I'm very, very clumsy," I giggled.
"Oh, fights, huh?" The man looked amazed.
"Not like those profesional fights in a ring, but 거리 fights."
"For a girl like you, I would never expect 당신 to get in a fight," the man smiled.
"My husband used to be a fighter," the woman chimed in.
"Oh, that's cool!" Tom was interesting in wrestling when he was younger.
"I'm sorry, but I haven't gotten your names," I said
"Oh, I'm Katherine Jackson and that's Joe Jackson."
"Maybe if 당신 let me wake up," I rubbed my eyes and sat up. "Why did my mom even let 당신 in?"
