당신 could always go with Edgar Allen Poe but I think a lot of people will do that. 당신 could also choose Maya Angelou 또는 Robert Frost(my favs). Hope that helps!
Perhaps Benjamin Zephaniah- his poems are written the way he'd speak, and are really interesting to read, addressing common issues. Also, I doubt many others in your class will choose him.
