It’s been nearly a month. I’m not sure what happened, but Skipper is in the worst shape of his life. Private and I have both made various attempts to talk to him, but he refuses to say a word. On another note, he won’t eat his fish, anymore. Private tells me that he somehow feels responsible. I somehow doubt it. But, with the way things are looking, who knows what’s wrong with Skipper? I only wish that he would tell me something. It wouldn’t even have to be about this situation. I simply need to know if he’s still sane.
Besides, he’s starting to frighten Private. Every day, he tries to feed Skipper, and fails every time. Skipper only sits there and stares at nothing. If this keeps up, I can only expect the worst. It would probably be better if I don’t share this with Private. He’s had enough to worry about. He shouldn’t even be here, anyway! If I knew that this would happen, I never would have advised Skipper to take Private under his supervision. This team was formed to carry out missions in order to bring us closer together. But now, I’m not certain of what we are, anymore. Just 프렌즈 who’ve ensnared one another with their own problems, I suppose.

“K’walski! C’mere, quick!” Private interrupted from behind.
The surprised 펭귄 whirled around and faced Private, “Private? Eh, what is it?”
“It’s Skippa! He’s not moving, and…breathing, he’s not breathing, K’walski! Please, hurry!”
Kowalski dropped his clipboard and pen, hopping to his feet in order to follow after Private, “It’s okay, Private! Just remain calm and keep talking to me…” He quickly made his way to his bunk and reached for a first-aid kit that he had been keeping for safety precautions, lately. With this, he would be willing to aid Skipper in any way possible.
The two penguins crawled onto the surface from the fishbowl entrance, scampering across to where Skipper was lying on his back. His eyes were open, but vacant. Kowalski dropped to his knees and separated Skipper’s beak in order to peer into his mouth. Private was true to his word when he claimed that Skipper had stopped breathing. From here, Kowalski leaned 앞으로 and placed his ear to Skipper’s chest. As expected, he didn’t feel a pulse.
Kowalski quickly opened his first-aid kit and pulled out his goggles, which he had miraculously designed to allow him in viewing a living being’s organs; similar to an x-ray. Private could only watch with anticipation as Kowalski studied the seemingly lifeless body for any clue to the problem. Kowalski’s 심장 stopped when he discovered that Skipper’s had literally done the same. He knew it was too late, at this point. But, he had no intentions of giving up. His fins began to tremble with anxiety as he searched the area around him. He immediately found a 물고기 and grabbed it, turning to shove it down Skipper’s throat. It was a violent approach, but there wasn’t any time to waste.
Wait, what was he doing?
Kowalski suddenly 로스트 all knowledge of what to do. Years of training had been wiped from his mind, entirely. He was panicking, he was 로스트 for words, and he knew, for sure, that he had failed his leader. He could do nothing to save Skipper. He felt even 더 많이 terrible with Private watching, who would soon witness Kowalski’s failure in reviving a fellow teammate; the downfall of the penguins of Madagascar.
“K’walski, hurry!” Private screamed, grasping one of Kowalski’s shoulders, from behind, and shaking him with anticipation.
“Private, please…remain calm! It’ll be…just a moment…just…” he quickly searched through the first-aid kit, thinking of what to do next.
“He’s dying, K’walski! Do something!!”
“I know…I, uh…I know, Private…please, be calm…” Kowalski was on the verge of breaking down. Skipper was dead before Private had even notified Kowalski of the matter. Only, he felt as though there was something that needed to be done. He could still do something.
Unfortunately, Alice, one of the zookeepers, appeared to have noticed Skipper’s corpse. She placed a long 2x4 that stretched across the water, allowing her to make her way into the habitat.
“Okay, guys, get outta the way…” she calmly said to the two penguins, unaware of the fact that they could very well interpret her words.
Easily, the zookeeper reached down and snatched Skipper from the ground. In an instant, he was gone; never to be seen 의해 the penguins again.
“Wait, I’m not finished!!” Kowalski screamed after Alice, realizing that she hadn’t even noticed that he was speaking to her. In the distance, she rounded the corner of a building, leaving Kowalski’s line of sight. The intellectual simply fell to his bottom, lowering his head in shame and failure. He had never felt so worthless in his life. He didn’t even know why Skipper did this to himself. He looked to the side and noticed that Private had already gone; most likely into the HQ to privately release his pain.
Kowalski didn’t think that was such a bad idea…
