The 다음 thing Private knows, he is on the ground; at his mother's feet. Something laid on 상단, 맨 위로 of the little penguin. It has to be what had pushed him. It begins to get up.
It is Nigel! He lifts him into his fins.
"Private!" His mother cries, and hugs him tightly.
"There's no time! We need to get out of here!" Nigel says sternly. His voice had no emotion, except urgency. Private had never seen his uncle so serious. He was always so light-hearted and cheery. Goofy uncle Nigel, Private's mother's older brother.
They rush between people and their legs. Most scream, while some men shove through the crowd after them. The men almost trample people.
Nigel leads them to two giant doors. They're metal with windows near the 상단, 맨 위로 of each one. Private stares in awe. He's never seen those in Antarctica!
"Here, take Private." Nigel says, handing Private off to his mother.
"Nigel, what are 당신 doing?" She asks skeptically
"Trust me," He says, and leans up against one of the shiny objects. He groans, closing his eyes tightly. The door begins moving, as he pushes with all his strength.
Private's mother rushes inside, carrying him. He stares down a far-reaching, red carpeted hallway. Carpet stretches from one end to the other. Along side it, are several doors attached to walls that look golden from the lighting. Bright lightblubs dangle and shine overhead. To Private they seemed like mini suns.
They both nearly jump, when a thud came from the door closing behind them. She turns her head at her brother narrow-minded.
"Sorry," He says, shrugging his shoulders.
"Always were the noisy one," She remarks playfully with a laugh.
"I can be stealthful, when I want to be." He winks. She shoots him a look. It's like her warning sign.
"What?!" He cries.
"Don't start." She hushes him.
"What do 당신 mean, mum?" Private asks curiously.
"See what 당신 did, Nigel!" She scolds. "It's nothing, Private."
The three penguins waddle on their way. At reaching the hall's end, Nigel takes a left.
Again Private never ceases to be amazed 의해 the new sites of this human-world. In front of him, he sees parts of the ground getting higher and higher up. They are all jet-black, and nearly as tall as his mother.
"Mummy! Who are they?!" Private exclaims waving to his own reflection in the stairs.
"Those are our reflections." She responds.
"Wow!" Private exclaims in awe, as his reflection waves back.
"Let's go." His uncle declares cheerfully. "Do 당신 think you'll be able to carry Private, and climb?"
"I think, I'll be good." She answers. She looks up at her son. "Ready to get up there?" Private nods vigoriously. Private feels the comfort slippling away, as his mum lifts him up. It almost seems like he's about to fall, but he knows his mother would never let that happen. While he is about to touch the first object of many, he takes in his surroundings. This place seems odd, but still less harsh than what he remembers of his 집 in Antarctica. Soon those memories will fade, as Private moves on with his life.
After that observation, Private feels a slick texture underneath his feet. With no visible effort, Nigel is standing 다음 to him.
"You're fast, uncle Nigel!" Private exclaims. His mother follows them up.
"Thanks, Private! I've had a lot of practice." Nigel tells his nephew.
"Practice? Nigel, you've never had practice in your life!" His mother smiles, trying to hush her brother for good.
"Uncle Nigel, did 당신 lie?" Private asks incredibly hurt.
"Did I ever tell 당신 about the mysterious case of the missing doileys?" His uncle changes the subject. It works.
"No, can 당신 tell me it?!" Private's eyes beam.
"Sure, but let's get to our room first."
"Okay!"
