Note: Sorry for not posting in awhile this took me a little while. This chapter will be sad at first, but it will get better. Also There will be another chapter after this. Enjoy! :)

Tears ran down Skipper's eyes at the thought it would take a miracle for Private to survive. Kowalski Rico and him hugged.
K: "Believe me, Skipper, I'm doing the best I can, here."
S: "I know,"
Kowalski went into his lab. Nigel had the same reaction as Skipper. Skipper slowly slouched down into the same hole Private had slept in before he had ran away. He noticed Private's Lunacorn, and hugged it as if he could feel Private.
M: "Skipper, I'm so sorry."
He looked up into her shining brown eyes. Much to his dislike, they were filled with sympathic tears. He hated seeing her cry, and she felt the same way for him. He hestitately held her paw. Afraid of her reaction he seemed extremely nerous.

---The lab---
Kowalski stared nervously at Private after bandaging his wound. The little 펭귄 had 로스트 too much blood. Soon the young 펭귄 gained consiousness, but he was weak and wouldn't live much longer.
Private woke up feeling extremely feeble and tired. He felt as if he hadn't slept in days. He couldn't even sit up he was so weak. The part that made him feel the worst was seeing Kowalski's tearful face. Just 의해 looking the young 펭귄 noticed his friend was in deep sorrow.
P: "Kowalski, where am I? What happened? Where's Skipper and my uncle Nigel?!"
K: "You're at the H.Q., Private. Everybody's outside the lab. Do 당신 remember anything?"
P: "I remember, but can I see everybody, now?"
It was bad enough losing Private, but having to tell him his terrible fate made it even 더 많이 excrusiating to deal with. With his words he was choking up.
K: "Private, I need to tell 당신 somehing."
P: "What? Is everyone okay?"
Kowalski paused and held Private in his flippers. He broke down in tears.
P: "Kowalski, please, tell me!"
K: "Private, you've 로스트 too much blood. 당신 won't live much longer."
Private felt his 심장 skip a sudden beat. Now he knew why he felt so terrible, and he could just about feel Kowalski's lamenting pain. Kowalski felt his 심장 break for his young friend.
P: "Can I say goodbye to everyone?"
Kowalski went to carry him out of the lab, but before he could, Private made an attempt to get off the table. Instead of landing normally on his feet, he tumbled to the ground. Pain shot through his body like a horrible sting. He tried to scream, but nothing came out. He moaned in pain while Kowalski ran toward him. Only now did he realize just how weak he was.
K: "Private! Are 당신 okay!"
P: "Yes,"
Kowalski lifted Privated up.
P: "Kowalski, can I tell 당신 something?"
K: "Yes, Private, anything!"
P: "You always were like a big brother to me."
This made even 더 많이 tears run down his face, but 더 많이 would come when he first exited his lab.

---While this was going on---
Marlene leaned in closer toward Skipper. He slowly and cautiously did the same. He finally kissed her. Kowalski suddendly walked into the room. Marlene stopped suddendly when she saw him notice the kiss. The look of despair grew even more.
M: "Kowalski?"
S: "Private, you're okay!"
He carried Private to his bunk, and laid him down. Kowalski explained to them the tragic news. The melancholy feeling returned the room.
P: "Skipper,"
S: "Private, what is it?"
P: "I don't want to die!"
S: "It will be okay. I'm sorry!"
K: "I'm sorry, Private!"
N: "Private, I'm so sorry!"
P: "It's none of your faults -"
Private broke off he felt himself getting 더 많이 and 더 많이 worn out. It was becoming very striking.
P: "Goodbye, Kowalski. 당신 took great care of me. Goodbye, Rico. 당신 were like a brother to me, also. Goodbye, uncle Nigel. You're the best uncle in the whole world. I 사랑 you. Goodbye, Skipper. I l-love y-y..."
Private closed his wary eyes.
S: "I 사랑 you, son. It's okay now. Goodbye, Private."
Private did exactly that. Kowalski rapidly listened for a heartbeat, but could hear nothing. Only sounds of heavyhearted sobs filled the H.Q. An impulsive breathing sound caught Rico's attention. He hustled to Private's bunk.
R: "Private!"
Rico hugged the bewildered, but consious young penguin.
P: "Rico? Wait, I'm alive!"
S, N, & K: "Private! You're alive!"
They all hugged Private. Even the lemurs joined in the rejoicing.
J: "Thanks to the sky spirits the silly 펭귄 is okay!"
They all knew without question. They had witnessed a miracle.
