Catherine's Point of View
One October day, it had started out normally. Gavin and I had a really good 일 until the last class of the day. We had some free time at the end of the class. There was a girl calling me ugly and deformed. I was upset, but I tried not to show that she got to me. Gavin came up beside me and said, "Hey! Be nice to her!" The girl asked, "What are 당신 gonna do? Boys can't hit girls." He said, "I know, but if they could, you'd be the first one I'd hit." She said, "But girls can hit boys." He said, "Go ahead! Hit me!" She punched him in the mouth, knocking out a tooth. The bully laughed. She said, "I guess ya spoke too soon." She walked away. I noticed that Gavin was putting his hand where the tooth would have been. He saw blood and fainted. Until then, I had never been so scared. "Gavin!" I cried. He didn't answer. I shouted, "Gavin! Wake up! Please!" He finally woke up. I said, "Oh, my God! Gavin! Are 당신 okay?!" He said, "Yeah. I'm okay."
Gavin's Point of View
Getting punched in the mouth was awful. Waking up on a dusty floor was just as bad. At least Catherine had the decency to ask if I was okay. Nobody else did. When I finally got up, Catherine said, "I guess we should find that tooth." I said, "No, don't worry about it. It was a baby tooth. It needed to come out, anyway." She said, "I'm sorry I got 당신 into this mess." I said, "It's not your fault, Catherine. I stepped in." She said, "Thanks for standing up for me." I said, "You're welcome." Thankfully, a new tooth grew in the place of the one that got knocked out. If it had been a permanent one, I wouldn't have cared. A single friend is 더 많이 important than thirty-two teeth.
