Ambers POV:
I sat on the coach with my mom and watched in terror as the 초 building came crashing down ever so quickly.
From the 8th floor of our apartment,We could see the cload of dust and sut cover lower manhattan.Mommy was crying and worrying about daddy.I didn't understand it at the time and it all happen to fast for me to grasp it.
She stood up,grabbed her bag then looked at me.She told me she loved me and told me to stay here then she kissed me on my forehead then slammed the door as she left me alone.I didn't know that would be the last time I'd see her ever again.
An 시간 must have pasted,I had sat 다음 to the door waiting and hoping they'd come back 안전한, 안전 and sound,even through I was fully convinced they wouldn't.The sut,thickened the atmosphere,making it hard to breath.Each breath poisoned my lungs with its dark dust.I was laying on the cold floor,my eyelids seemed heavier then a ton,I had to fight the urge to fall asleep.I knew if I let my eyes close once they'd never open again.I yelled for help hoping someone would hear me.In my luck,I had no response.
I was going to be left there to die if I didn't get up,so I reached for the door knob and attempted to get up.I put my foot in front of me,and held on to the knob then yanked the rest of me off the floor.I immediately started to cough from the fog of dust,the higher I was the thicker the air.I flung open the door and managed to wobble down the hallway to the stair case.
I made it down about five steps out of the ten,before my body collapsed falling and tumbling down the stairs onto the hard metal flooring creating a ringing thud.
I thought it was going to be the end for me,then I heard a voice.
The 다음 thing I knew,I was in the arms of a hero.The hero spoke to me telling me that I'd be 안전한, 안전 then started calling my name.
"Amber....Amber,wake up."
I winced a few times trying to adjust to the sunlight.It was all a dream,and I felt as if I had relived it,but I was happy to see Louie leaning over me.I turned over and thought of the familiar dream I just had.
"Come on,Amby!"Robby sat on the foot of my bed."Louie's going to teach me how to throw a foot ball at the park."
"Good morning."Louie chimed."Mrs.Rose made pan cakes."
"Where!"I jumped to my feet.
"And they were good."Louie teased.
"And 당신 didn't leave me any?"
"Well,they were just so good and I'm just joking."he smiled.
I hit him playfully in a pity.
"ow,harsh much."he played.
"Well,you did lie about my pancakes."I walked into the 부엌, 주방 where Mrs.Rose was pouring the syrup on my plate.i licked my lips in exictment as I gazed apon the masterpiece topped with butter.
"Thanks for the seconds,"Louie smirked and took the plate as my 판타지 was interrupted.
"What!?!"I yelled.
"Just kidding."he said as he put the plate on the 공식 만찬, 저녁 식사 표, 테이블 then pulled the chair out for me.
"Oh..."I murrmurred then sat down."Man,stop playing with me.I just woke up."I complained.

The boys were playing foot ball in the summer breeze as I sat on picnic 표, 테이블 읽기 a good 사랑 novel.The 잔디 was greener then ever,also freshly cut and the sun was shining bright as the cloads tended to pass over it.It was abousolutly a beautiful 일 outside,it was summer but felt like spring.
The summer haze heated my skin but the wind made me chill.
I smiled at the sight of Louie showing Robby how to throw the ball so David could catch it.Louie backed away as Robby gripped the ball.Louie walked to David to show him how he could catch it,but meanwhile robby was determined to throw the ball,and that he did hitting Louie in the......yea.
I burst into laughter,and nearly fell off the table.I stood up still giggling,and walk over to Louie who was laying in the grass.
"Aw,Do they hurt?"I chuckled.
He rolled round moaning in pain,as we cracked up.
"I'm going go sit down,now."he announced.
I helped him up and dragged him to the picnic table.
He looked at me and grinned,
"that kids got an arm."
He made me laugh.
"Yea,Robby's pretty strong."
"I bet I'm stronger."he bragged then flexed this arm muscles.
I playfully pushed him,unattentionaly he fell of the table.
I laughed and got up and ran.
"I'm going to get 당신 this time!"he got up and chased me.
Shortly after he grabbed me,we fell to the ground laughing.
He started to tickle me.
"No stop!"I begged in laughter.
"What?Dont stop?Okay!"he howled.
He got up and swung me over his arms.I kicked and tried to untangle from his tight warm grip.He put me down,but didn't let his grip go.We stood there,in that meadow,gazing at each other.
He once agin tried to 키스 me,and to my luck,we were interrupted.
"OW!!!!!"yelled David.
I ran out of his grip to David,he was on the ground.
"what happened!"I worried.
"Robby threw the ball and it hit me in the eye."
"You told me to go for the bulls eye."whispered Robby.
"More like David's eye."I smiled."come on,mrs.rose probably has lunch ready also."

I could smell the seasoning from a block away.Mrs.Rose had prepared one of my favorites,rice dressing and pork chops.
We gathered around the wooden table,Robby hugging his teddy bear,David with a black eye and an ice pack,then me and Louie laughing our asses off.
"This is a little recipe,I picked up in new Orleans in my younger years.Cajun creole is one of my 가장 좋아하는 types of food."told mrs.Rose."Ah,New Orleans,I 사랑 that city,One 일 if I can I'll take you."she smiled at me and placed the plates in the table.
Everyone grabbed a plate,Robby 스톨, 훔친 Louie's plate which had the most on it and gave him his plate,which had a few ounces and half a pork chop.
"I need extra for tony."Robby explained as he hugged tony the teddy.
"You do know that tony doesn't eat?"asked Louie.
"Yep."Robby chuckled.
"Oh hush,There's plenty more."said mrs.Rose as she sat down.
The smell of seasoning filled the air,and rose my appetite.
"Now who wants to say grace?"asked mrs.rose."How about 당신 David?"
"but my eye hurts."He whined.
"Excactly,Be thankful 당신 still have an eye."smiled mrs.rose.
He bowed his head
"Bless us O Lord and for These Thy Gifts which we are about to receive, may the Lord make us truly thankful....that I still have an eye. Amen."
We ate and filled our bellys with pure happiness that was made on that gas stove.It was juicy and spicy,and everything inbetweeen.
"Better then hamburger helper,Eh?"asked Mrs.Rose.
Louie smiled as he got up for a 초 plate.

It was about nine oclock before he left,I had walked with him to his car.
"goodnight,Louie."I smiled.
He gave me a hug,once again he looked me in the eyes.

Heartbeats fast,Lips tremble,Million thoughts,Waiting for someone to make a move,but for some reason I faked a smile and went back inside.I took a deep breath and rested myself.
I wanted to just be 프렌즈 for now,with him.
"So when are 당신 going to ask him out?"smiled Mrs.Rose.
"he's just a friend."
"Excactly!you never ask,you wait."
"oh really?"
"hell yea,did 당신 know back in my 일 I was a fine little thang.It was like yesterday,the summer of 1967,Ohio.I was 21 and in love."she preached.
"that would make you..."
"Shut up,I know how old I am."she laughed."Well,his name was Jerry Hebert,he was the perfect fellow,tall dark and lean,then everything In between.I swore I'd marry him someday,but unfortunatly he died in battle,fighting for our country."her voice was sadden."that's why I tell 당신 to take caution when it comes to love,my darlin."
"but isn't their a flipside to this?"
"That then leads to another story of how I adopted you.ill tell 당신 that another day,so hurry on to 침대 cause I'm to tired."
I then went to 침대 thinking of it all.
