Niall will say he's totally carefree about dating, gossip, and being in the biggest boy band in the world. But ask the 19-year-old about a certain girl and it's clear there's a secret seriousness under his mellow Irish exterior!

17: There's so much gossip written about all the guys in the band. What's the biggest misconception about you?

Niall Horan: That I have a girlfriend - I don't have a girlfriend. People also say I'm boxy, like it looks like I haven't been to the gym. There's always something going around. It doesn't bother me. I'm not sensitive in that way.

17: Were 당신 this laid-back in high school?

NH: I was very talkative-I was a people person. I was always singing...even now, I'll just get up and sing. I'm really approachable. 당신 can just come over and chat with me. I like to treat people the way I want to be treated.

17: Clearly you're not shy. Have 당신 ever been afraid to ask a girl out?

NH: When I was young, I was shy around girls. But now, I wouldn't be afraid to ask a girl out. I don't believe in games. It's childish.

17: Have 당신 gone on any good dates recently?

NH: There hasn't been anyone great in a while. I don't really have time to think about girls. When I'm not working, I only want to go back to Ireland and chill with my friends. 프렌즈 and family come first-always.

17: But everyone knows 당신 have a crush on Demi Lovato. What do 당신 like most about her?

NH: The nice thing about Demi is, once 당신 know her, she's really, really beautiful. We became good friends. It's so crazy that she can be so honest about everything she's gone through. She has a fantastic attitude. If I ever needed anything 또는 needed to talk to anybody, I think Demi would be the person to talk to.
