Niall Horan Fanfic Chapter 28: Why Is 사랑 So Hard to Find?
Niall and I stayed snuggled up like that for a little while longer, but it was still too early to sleep. Niall was going to a party later, but I didn’t want him to leave.
Niall was starting to get ready.
“You can come with me.” He said.
“No, I hate parties, everyone gets all drunk, and that’s not my scene.” I said.
“I’ll miss 당신 though.” He said giving me 강아지 eyes.
“I’ll miss 당신 too, but I’m still not coming. It’s been a long 일 anyway.” I said.
“So getting drunk will take your mind off of it.” He said laughing.
“Don’t even joke Niall. 당신 better not get drunk, it’s so annoying.” I said.
“Fine, not totally drunk.” He said.
“If 당신 come 집 slurring I’ll kill you.” I said.
He just laughed and gave me a hug and continued getting ready. 의해 the time he left to leave it was 11:30 p.m. He gave me a hug and 키스 goodbye, then he left. I went into the living room and Niall’s mom was on the couch.
“So everything is fine now?” she asked giving me a smile.
“Yeah, me and Niall are good.” I said happily.
“Good, I hate seeing 당신 two fighting, it’s not right, you’re too in love, it’s not worth it.” She said giving my hand a squeeze.
I smiled at her. She was the nicest person in the world. We sat and talked for a little bit, but then she went up to bed, because she had work in the morning. I stayed on the 침상, 소파 and listened to 음악 for a little while. Then I texted my parents to tell them I was okay. Not like they cared.
It was around 6 in the morning when Niall came home. His mom was awake and so was I; I never went to sleep that night. Niall stumbled in totally drunk, and he seemed mad. He was cussing out his mom, and 연기 like a fool.
He couldn’t stand up never mind walk, he was slurring, and he was missing a shoe. Maura looked so mad. She didn’t even want to be near him. As much as I hated it when he got drunk I had to step in and take him away from his mom. She finished getting ready and immediately left for work, only stopping to wish me luck.
I grabbed Niall roughly 의해 the arm and practically dragged him upstairs into his room. I sat him on the 침대 and went to get him a glass of iced water. When I came back he was only in his underwear.
“Why are 당신 getting naked?” I asked.
“Obvious reasons, why else would 당신 bring me up to my room?” he said.
“Because 당신 need to sober up. I am in no way sleeping with you.” I said.
“Why? Do 당신 not 사랑 me?” he said taking a step closer to me.
“Niall I 사랑 you, but not right now.” I said stepping back.
“Why?” he asked coming closer.
“You’re drunk. 당신 know I hate it when 당신 do this, but 당신 still do it anyway.” I said, moving even farther back.
“Why do 당신 keep backing up?” he asked, with a look in his eyes I had never seen.
“Because I don’t want 당신 near me right now.” I said.
He gripped me 의해 my arms tightly. I tried to pull away, but he jerked me back in.
“Niall let me go.” I said.
“Why should I?” he asked.
“Niall, you’re scaring me, stop it.” I said.

My eyes were stinging with tears. His grip on my arms was so tight, and he was being really mean. I couldn’t believe this was happening.

That was it. My adrenaline kicked in and I broke free from his grip. I grabbed the glass of iced water and threw it in his face. He seemed really discombobulated for a second, but then regained his composure. 의해 the time he did I had already ran out of the room. He chased me out of the house and I ran. I had no clue where I was going but I ran, and ran.
When I turned around Niall was gone. He hadn’t followed me anymore. I called his mom. She answered on the first ring.
“I can’t do this.” I cried into the phone.
“Hazel what’s happening? Where are you? I hear cars.” She said.
I explained the whole story to her. She said she would come 집 and to meet her at the house. I walked back slowly hoping she would be there before me. Surely when I pulled up her car was there. I looked at my watch, and I t was already 1 in the afternoon. How long had I been gone?
Niall was sitting on the steps crying, and his mom was standing in front of him yelling. I slowly walked up to the house. Niall’s mom ran over to me. She grabbed my wrists. There were some bruises starting to form. It reminded me of when I was with my ex-boyfriend Josh. He always hit me. Niall’s mom pulled me in front of him and showed him my arms.
“Do 당신 have any idea what 당신 have done?!” She screamed at him.

“I was drunk.” He choked out.
“Do 당신 remember anything?” I asked quietly.
“No, but my mom told me what happened. I am so sorry Hazel. I can’t even begin to describe how sorry I am.” He said.

“You probably hate me now. For real this time.” He said looking at the ground.
“No, I could never, ever hate 당신 Niall. I hate what 당신 do sometimes, like get drunk, but I 사랑 you.” I said.
I couldn’t believe it, but I was forgiving him. Something about the way he was so distressed, and how he couldn’t find the words to apologize, because he knew no words could cover something so bad, made him look real to me. I knew that sober, he would never lay a hand on me. I knew what he did was wrong, but if he was willing to fix things, so was I.
“Hazel, 당신 probably want to end things and I totally get it. Maybe someday we can get together again, I know I messed everything up, and you’ve been in a bad relationship before, I wish I could have been different for you.” He said crying some more.
“Niall, I don’t want to end things with you.” I said, surprising myself 더 많이 than him.
“You…you don’t?” he asked.
“I can’t believe I’m saying this but no, I don’t.” I said.
“Hazel I swear to 당신 I will never get drunk again. I will never treat 당신 this way again. What I did was bad, it was worse than bad. 당신 should’ve broken up with me, but I will prove to 당신 that staying with me is worth it.” He said.

“Yeah?” he answered looking really scared.
“Please go put some pants on.” I laughed.
He still hadn’t put any pants on over his boxers from earlier. The poor boy was sitting outside in his undies.
He looked down, and smiled. It was a weak smile, but still a smile. He had hives all over himself from crying so hard. He looked extremely tired, and he reeked, but he was still the most beautiful boy I have ever seen. When he stood up he wobbled a little and a grabbed onto his arm to support him.
“Why are 당신 being so nice to me?” he asked.
“You were totally smashed. If 당신 had been sober and done that stuff I would have called the cops. Niall I 사랑 you, but 당신 need to stop drinking. One drink is fine, but getting totally wasted? 당신 need to stop. We keep saying that we’re past all of this, but honestly we aren’t.” I said.
He nodded at me and he looked like he was going to cry again.
“Why are 당신 the one crying?” I asked.
“Because I’m the one who ruined everything.” He answered sadly.
“Niall, listen to me, nothing is ruined. We’re going to forget today ever happened. Understand?” I said.
“Agreed.” He said with a relieved look on his face.
I intertwined my fingers with him and we walked into his room, so he could put some clothes on. I laid down on the 침대 and he sat 다음 to me.

“Hmm?” I moaned sleepily.
“After everything that happened today, 당신 haven’t taken the ring off, but when I told 당신 I was visiting Ireland, 당신 threw it at me. Why?” he asked.
“Well, today, 당신 were totally smashed, and even if I gave 당신 this back 당신 wouldn’t have even known who I was. Also, after giving it back twice, I really like having it safely on my hand.” I said.
Niall had laid down 다음 to me and was stroking my hair. I loved feeling him near me. It made me feel safe. Even after what happened today.
Niall looked at me; his eyes were so focused on mine.

“So is the whole getting married idea totally squashed?” he asked nervously.
“No.” I answered.
