원스 어폰 어 타임 Article: My Opinion on Outlaw 퀸

I was in 사랑 with Outlaw 퀸 from the start. The idea of "what could of been" is so tragically romantic. I could picture Regina being happy had she just stepped through that door. I could picture Roland as her child and what wonderful parents her and Robin would have made if only she had taken that leap of faith.

However once OQ actually became reality it fell flat for me. It was too easy, too simple. There was no conflict 또는 emotional tension. Don't get me wrong it was great to see Regina finally happy and Robin, Roland and Regina are too adorable together. Honestly though it started to bore me pretty early on. Much like Alice and Cyrus it was just too perfect. It seemed unrealistic even suspicious. I started to think that maybe it was all an act on Robin's part, an elaborate plan to get revenge on Regina for killing his wife.

Then the finale came around. (Unpopular opinion: I loved it! Every 분 of it. I especially 사랑 the added element of Marian.) I was pretty sure Regina had had Marian killed and was dreading the 일 when Robin found out. It would have been the end of OQ. There is no way to forgive someone for something like that. In fact had they tried to keep OQ together after revealing that fact they would have instantly dropped to my least 가장 좋아하는 ship. Even watching Regina, Robin and Robin walk town the 거리 together in that beautiful montage in the last few moments of the show no matter how adorable it was made me a little sick. She murdered this woman put her family through years of untold grief and suffering and then slips in like a cuckoo and takes her place.

How could she have ever had a heathy relationship with Roland after what she had done to his mother? Robin would never forgive her if he knew - I would think less of him if he did. So even if she figured out what she had done (I do not think she knew that she was the cause of Robins suffering and this does help her some). Anyway if she had found out she would have had to lie to him in order to keep him in her life. There was no way for her to win. It seemed that her actions had once again sealed her fate. Robin would have found out and she would have 로스트 everything.

However Emma saving Marian also saved Regina. With Marian alive she has the chance to make amends for what she did. Forgiveness is possible. It also saved this ship for me personally.

This is exactly what Outlaw 퀸 needed. Some type of conflict to make their romance worth watching. Even Snowing who have seemingly never had an argument serous enough to last longer then a single episode have had external obstacles trying to tear them apart making there future unpredictable and therefore worth following.

I'm not yet sure if I'm on Team Marian 또는 Team Regina. I do want Regina to be happy but it really depends on how she handles this situation. This is after all Marian's family and it is her fault that she was separated from them. If she behaves as the new mature Regina would then she has a chance at winning back her 초 chance. It's up to her.

I do hope that this time she seizes her 초 change and takes control over her own happiness and that she will not fall back on blaming others such as Emma and Marian for ruining her life (as she did with Snow). This is however Regina. 당신 never know what she will do and that is what makes her such a wonderful character.

matchesrulezu I'm not so sure Emma saving Marion will be saving OQ, though. Because in the past, Regina still had every intention of killing Marion. It wasn't Regina that saved Marion, it was Emma that saved Marion [i]from[/i] Regina. Robin may very well still be upset with Regina because she was going to kill Marion and at a point, [i]did[/i] kill Marion. I don't think that Regina will revert to being totally evil again, though, hopefully. I understand her being upset when it all initially happened, but I think once she has time to cool down a bit and think it through a bit more - Henry might also talk to her which would help - she will realize that her life isn't over and that she still has things (like Henry) that make her happy. I'm sure she will still resent Emma for a while, though.

DR76 I find it odd that if Regina had killed Marion in the original timeline, Robin had never knew. If Marion had originally died of public execution, I find it difficult to accept that word would have never gone back to Robin. This is why I have such a problem with accepting the idea that Regina originally had Marian killed. Wouldn't it be funny if Marian had originally been saved from a public execution . . . without Emma's help? Sometimes, I think Emma should drop that "savior" label. I think it's starting to get to her head. As for Outlaw Queen, I was against it when I first heard about it in early Season 3. But when it happened in the second half, I saw the potential between the two. For those who complained about them being "flat", they seemed to forget that Snow and Charming's courtship was ridiculously easy . . . even more so than Regina and Robin's. And to be honest, they're not a very interesting couple. The deaths of Daniel and Marian (in the first timeline) gave a little more oomph in Regina's romance with Robin. But Marian's appearance in Storybooke makes it quite clear that Outlaw Queen in Season 3 was just the first step in their story.

minervadawn Snowing was anything but easy. Sure they fell in love in one episode but there was the Abigail/Kathrine issue and George blackmailing Snow into abandoning David. Then she took a potion to forget him and he had to make her fall in love with him again and that's only what happened before the curse.
