I 사랑 the new commercial and promo for season 2, I watch it so many times and start to analyze everything and this is what I got:
Red/Ruby:
magic is back and little red riding 후드 didn't have her hood, maybe she lose it 또는 red cape just not fashionable enough for real word so she stuck it into her back closet, either way, red 늑대 is back for season 2. I’m so glad she became one of central character; she’s one of my favorite.
Aurora, Philip and Mulan:
I 사랑 sleeping beauty that’s why I have big hope for this plot, the promo didn’t gave us much to speculate about their story, other than those three will have many screen time together. I wonder if their plot will become a 사랑 triangle. Why can’t they give us 더 많이 clues?!
I have to talk about the newbies costume. I think they upgrade the costume for this season, beside Evil 퀸 and Belle everyone wears horrible costumes last season, but I really 사랑 aurora’s dress and mulan’s armor looks really cool
Rumpelstiltskin/Mr. Gold :
One similarity between commercial and promo is we see Rumpelstiltskin holding a medallion (well, in the promo he kinda throw it)
I read iamthebricklayer.tumblr.com/post/31273327738/my-theory-on-the-medallion-in-the-promo, that 기사 blow me away, the symbol on the medallion means "dragon"! we have 뮬란 and sleeping beauty this season so it’s either mushu 또는 Maleficent, I think Maleficent is 더 많이 likely choice because of what kitnis said in an interview (www.tvguide.com/News/Comic-Con-Once-Upon-A-Time-Spoilers-Season2-1049984.aspx), unlike graham we never see Maleficent dead body, the last time we saw the dragon -> sword, smoke, puff and she’s gone, we didn’t know for sure if she really dead in that scene
I watch 뮬란 yesterday and something caught my eyes, I swear Rumpelstiltskin's medallion really looks like mulan's medallion and not only that Rumpelstiltskin's 칼, 나이프 also looks like mulan’s 칼, 나이프 (the 칼, 나이프 she received after defeated her enemy), Maybe it’s just me but if they really borrow this from that movie I think it’s really amazing, because we already saw that 칼, 나이프 last season but we never realize that, 뮬란 is season 2's plot and they already gave us a hint about it since s1, once again amazing!
Belle:
She only appeared for 3 eps last season and now she’s one of the central characters. Her 사랑 story with Rumpelstiltskin clearly will continue in season 2, From Rumbelle scene we know that belle. want Rumpelstiltskin not succumb into hate again, she clearly trying to became Rumpelstiltskin ’s voice of reason, beside that she also have to deal with real life issue, she never had real life memory outside her “prison”, she have to learn many thing about modern era, like phone, computer, car, poor belle, I’m not rumbelle shipper but I still rooting for her, she's a sweetheart I don't want to see her sad again.
Evil Queen/Regina:
Two things 십자가, 크로스 my mind when I saw regina in both promo, gorgeous lady and butterfly, In promo regina tried to attacked bunch of people with a spell and it turned into butterfly. But it seem everyone have different opinion about the commercial, many said she attacked emma/henry ,others said she gave them butterfly, I’m confuse about all this but I asked and @afirewiel (thank you!) gave an excellent explanation and I’m sorry if this make swan/queen shipper mad but yes in the commercial regina tried to attack emma /henry (just like the promo) but her spell turned into bunch of butterfly.
From kitsis interview we know that magic In real life are different from fairytale land, from both promo and commercial we can see that, in one scene regina can cast a powerful spell (she was channeling morgana from merlin, throwing bunch of people in the air) but other scene she only capable to produce butterflies, so maybe there’s a limit, one thing for sure regina’s magic won’t be the same
Beside regina and her problem with beautiful butterflies, We also see young regina riding horse and (maybe) a scene from her first meeting with Rumpelstiltskin , it amaze me how we can see the different between young regina and evil 퀸 in just a second, the expression from lana parrilla’s face tell us that she is not playing evil 퀸 at that moment but a scared young women, she really is an amazing actress.
The Charming
I can’t wait to see the charming reunion, I think it was really sweet when charming run and protect emma and henry , I also 사랑 the scene when snow reunited with her dwarfs, so adorable. but we barely see emma and henry in both promo, I'm curious about that, those two probably have some surprise for us. From the promo, charming, snow and emma stuck inside a room, I think it’s Mr. Gold’s store? They probably want something from mr.gold, but what and why? And while they stuck inside that store the weather change in storybrook, a storm? A giant? A dragon? Anything possible now
Hook:
So far we only see captain hook’s hook. I’m really curious about his character, from the commercial we see he stand against everyone, either he’s the new bad guy who up against everyone including Rumpelstiltskin and evil 퀸 또는 he’s a neutral character who only choose side if it benefit him like mad hatter, well kitsis said that captain hook not evil but he’s a pirate (sneaky? selfish?), so maybe he’s 더 많이 like mad hatter, I just hope he’s not as dumb as his Disney’s version character.
btw, we got hook, who and where is peter pan?
One thing that upset me is I heard (or read) nothing about about august for season 2, I even read gepito and archie’s spoiler for season 2 but none about him, I’m afraid he is really gone, first graham now august, they keep killing all the guys I like! Why?!
Put that aside, I think the promo just like other promo, it gave us 더 많이 질문 rather than answer but it still a a great promo and I’m so happy to see all the character old and new. I really 사랑 the commercial, especially the part when the characters turned into their fairytale life because of the purple smoke, gorgeous! Great job ABC!
