People who say bi erasure doesn’t happen need to realize Freddie Mercury is known as the most famous homosexual man when he identified himself as bisexual. If that’s not bi erasure I don’t even know.

I was gonna pick the Freddie one but I'm honestly a lil bit uncertain about his sexuality. Mainly because his closest friends (including Brian and Roger) have called him gay and said he called himself gay. But obviously he also showed signs of being bisexual. lmao I don't know, only Freddie knows. but I do agree that bi-erasure is a very real thing and something worth acknowledging. But with Freddie there is certainly an element of confusion among his fans. Even Rami Malek called him bi in some interviews, gay in others.

I've gotten in so many arguments over this. I admit, Freddie's sexuality is a bit confusing but personally I think, that in those days (and even nowadays) it's already hard to come out as gay, but it's even HARDER to come out as bi. Some people can't understand being attracted to both genders. Bi-erasure is very real and it honestly makes me mad.
