런던 (Reuters) – Florence and the Machine’s debut album “Lungs,” which was released in July last year, topped the British album charts on Sunday after 28 consecutive weeks in the 상단, 맨 위로 40, the Official Charts Company said.
Three other albums in the 상단, 맨 위로 10 were debuts released in 2009, including American singer Lady Gaga’s “The Fame” — released a 년 이전 — at number four, and Pixie Lott’s “Turn it up” — released in September — at number 10.
“It shows how much of the new talent which emerged last 년 is here for the long term,” said Martin Talbot, managing director of the Official Charts Company.
Delphic, a trio from Manchester, England who have been tipped as one of the 상단, 맨 위로 new talents of 2010, were a new entry at number eight with their debut album “Acolyte.”
In the singles charts, Iyaz, a singer and rapper from the Virgin Islands, held on to the 상단, 맨 위로 spot for a 초 week running with his single “Replay.”
Glee, an American 텔레비전 series which has just begun in Britain, also made its mark on the 상단, 맨 위로 10, with the 글리 cast’s cover of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’” charting at number five, just ahead of the original version at number six.
Plan B’s “Stay too long” was another new entry, debuting at number nine.
