End of Chapter 29

I heard Gabriel growl loudly, and felt the 좌석 shift as he stood up the growl growing with intensity.

"Jeez Gabriel, 당신 are protective!" Caroline said as I felt the fingers release the seat.

"Go away, do not come back here. If 당신 do I will not restrain myself as I have this time. Go....run back and tell Amelia the things I have said, how I reacted to 당신 two...and tell her I said that if she has a problem that she will have to talk to me herself. Now go, before I 신고 to someone who will take care of you...once and for all." He said, his voice barely recognizable.

I heard both women laugh as someone patted my head and then they both walked away, giggling as they talked about me like I couldn't hear them. A few 초 later I heard Gabriel take a deep breath before he sat back down.

"I'm sorry Bella, I didn't know this would happen." He said as he settled into his seat.

I was 겨울왕국 in my seat, worried about the two women that upset Gabriel...and wondering who this woman was the he said he would 신고 them to? It was a threat that was enough that they left me alone, who was scary enough that two 뱀파이어 would be afraid....and did I ever want to meet this person?

Chapter 31

"Bella?" Gabriel said, breaking my thoughts and bringing be back to now.

"What?" I asked, realizing that he had probably been talking to me.

"I was asking if 당신 were alright."

"Oh, yeah just perfect. I'm blindfolded on a plane with two...or is it three female 뱀파이어 who hate me. Why wouldn't I be alright?" I asked as I turned my head to face him.

"Good point. I wish things could be different, but things have been laid out for a while now." He said sadly.

"What things?" I wondered.

"Do 당신 really think I will tell you? Come on Bella, you're smarter then that." He said as he laughed.

"It was worth a try." I said sadly.

I heard the sound of people approaching from behind my seat, and began shrinking down in my 좌석 before they ever got to us.

"So you're rude to my 프렌즈 now?" Amelia asked as she moved to stand beside me as I curled up into a ball in the seat.

"Amelia....not now." Gabriel said softly.

"No....now is perfect Gabriel." She said bitterly. "We have been together for over 20 years, and this girl comes along and 당신 drop me like I mean nothing."

I felt the set 옮기기 beside me as Gabriel stood up, grabbing my arm to get me to stand. He moved me so that I was standing behind him, his entire body blocking me.

"I am not the one who is 연기 like a child, 당신 hurt me. I 사랑 you." She said as I heard her step closer.

"Amelia, I know I have promised to never make 당신 do what 당신 do not want to, please don't force me." Gabriel said sadly.

"You wouldn't." She said softly.

"Stop pushing me Amelia, I truly 사랑 you. 당신 know that but I will do what I have to to protect Bella, it is my job."

"You choose her over me then?" She said as she stepped a little closer.

"Amelia, leave." He said softly.

"What was that?" She said bitterly.

"Leave us Amelia." He said forcefully.

I heard her back up, her feet shuffeling like she didn't want them to do what they were doing. I heard her sigh as she turned down the isle and walked back towards the back of the plane.

"Gabriel?" I said softly.

"Please sit down Bella." He said as his hand slid up my arm, helping me back into my seat. I was surprised when his hand stayed on my arm once I was in the seat.

"Gabriel." I said as I pulled my arm back, my hand sliding up to the spot where his cold hand had been holding my arm.

"We are about to take off, buckle your 벨트 please." He said softly.

I slid my hand down to the belts, searching for the parts that I knew would need to connect. I was quickly flustered when I realized that I couldn't do all of this without seeing. I was about to just tie the two parts together in my hands when I felt cold hands 옮기기 mine as he slid the parts together and clicked the lock into place.

"Sorry, I forget 당신 are blindfolded." He said as he laughed.

I didn't say anything, I noticed that his hands lingered again at my hands...causing them to instantly become colder, a shiver running through my entire body.

I felt the plane take off, the entire experience much 더 많이 frightening when 당신 were blindfolded. I gasped as we climbed, the engines making strange noises as we went higher. It was very strange for the rest of the flight, I knew that Gabriel was still sitting 다음 to me...but he never said another word..until the flight started to begin it's decent.

"Bella, we're here." He said as he laid a gentle hand on my arm. "Time to wake up."

I guess that I hadn't realized that I had fallen asleep, I guess that I did truly trust Gabriel for some reason. I knew that he would protect me, that he had turned on his own.....hmmm....girlfriend/wife..to protect me.

"Bella?" He asked, waiting for me to respond.

I didn't know what to say, what he wanted me to tell him. The only thing I was sure of at that point was that I hoped that Edward had found my clue, that he and the rest of the Cullens would somehow be able to find the clue I left and follow us wherever we were going...and find me.
