Daniel Craig's Bond is a reboot to the first timeline of the past 20 Bond films and they did not take place in this new timeline. The franchise obviously doesn't work in a linear timeline, no matter how you stretch it and/or try to make it work. For me, it's simple: Sean Connery - Pierce Brosnan, all one character. Daniel Craig, a different character in a different universe.
