IU‘s agency has released a statement revealing that they have taken action towards malicious commenters as well as those who are spreading composite 사진 of the singer.

LOEN 나무, 트리 officials said on November 19th, “On the 17th, we have filed a complaint against the publishers of the malicious 코멘트 and the distributors of the false composite 사진 (of IU) to the Seoul Gangnam Police Station.”

In 2013, the culprit who spread a malicious rumor about 아이유 was caught but upon an agreement, was given 200 hours of community service and the complaint was dropped. However, LOEN 나무, 트리 warns that this time around, they will not show leniency towards the culprits this time around.

Earlier this month, a composite 사진 of 아이유 began spreading but was proven to be photoshop. The 사진 was originally taken at IU’s 팬 meeting but was composited as if she was performing in lingerie. The agency has been busy tracking down the original poster since then.
