Singer 아이유 is becoming one of Korea’s most sought-after stars among the makers of commercials.
The 별, 스타 has recently been chosen to 광고 a 인기 brand of soju (an alcoholic beverage 인기 in Korea), following in the footsteps of some of the “hottest” stars in Korea, such as Lee Hyori.
According to an 기사 published 의해 media outlet OSEN, however, the 별, 스타 currently has four advertising contracts with companies, and is now negotiating over a possible three 더 많이 deals. The 기사 calls 아이유 a “CF Queen”, 또는 a “Queen of Commercials.”

And it seems that 아이유 is not only in great demand from advertisers, but also from the makers of 텔레비전 drama series and movies. OSEN reports that the singer is currently looking through scripts for both 영화 and dramas. In fact, the makers of many dramas that are currently on air have spoken to 아이유 about the possibility of appearing in their series.

It appears that IU’s popularity among 텔레비전 producers and advertisers has not distracted her from her 음악 career, however, as the 별, 스타 has three songs in the 2014 Gaon 음악 Chart 상단, 맨 위로 10. 아이유 has placed at Number 5, Number 7, and Number 10 on the chart with three of her hits from this year.
