The phone went ringing in Wilson's apartment a few days after Cate left Mayfield. He went out from the bedroom to answer it and knowing he can’t stand another 분 straight up, he took the empty chair 다음 to his telephone stand.
Wilson: Hey...
Pitt: Where the hell are you?
Wilson: Just got 집 from Michigan.

He ran a palm on his face knowing he could pass out any moment because of lack of sleep. He’s also trying hard not to give out signs to the psychologist about what a horrible thing he did in his boss’s place.
Wilson: Look, Rick, please, I'm tired. I haven't got any sleep, can 당신 get to the point now?
Pitt sighed before telling Wilson what he wanted to and that got the oncologist's eyes grew wider.

With hands in both pockets, Wilson slowly entered House's room where he found his friend packing all his clothes in the bag. Both gents looked up to see the other the moment the oncologist stopped in midway.
House: I think I've seen this scene for quite enough already. You, standing there, me, packing here...
Wilson: But as what I've heard, this might be the last one... --- You're being release..
House: Past tense...
Wilson nodded and House continued packing.

House: <looked up but still packing> No, thank you. I have Pitt agreed to drive me to Michigan...

Wilson sighed a relief. House stood up and had the strap cling on his shoulder. He wasn't limping when he began walking to the door as Wilson followed behind. Feeling of good old days came back when they walked together in the empty hallway of what House called “the gas chamber to hell” hospital as they head to the elevator at the end.
Wilson: The car drive itself is torturous. 10 hours at least. Think 당신 can handle that?
House: If I know I can’t, would I be going out there?

He smiled making Wilson’s guilt grew bigger. They stood in front of the elevator frame, waiting for the ride down and competing thoughts were running in his mind. He wanted to tell House about what had happened between him and Cuddy but the other part doesn’t want him to. This is a great 일 for him, he thought, and I wouldn’t be the one who’ll ruin it, besides it was just a kiss, nothing else. As the elevator dings open, he snapped.
Wilson: House…
House turned and was about to crank up to see his friend’s gone pale with only a 분 standing there.
Wilson: I… have to tell you… something?
House: Our friendship isn’t doom the moment I came to see Cuddy and ask her for ---
Wilson: <sighed> I kissed her…
House stood there blankly letting the elevator leave them behind again. Both of them looked at each other afraid of what the other might do 또는 say. Wilson feared that House would attack him and barbecued him with his cane and House feared that Wilson might openly say that Cuddy and his friend are moving things further while he was having his trouble days.

House nodded not knowing what to say. He doesn’t even know what to feel. The elevator dinged again and the door opened and he was the one who came in first but Wilson wasn’t moving. He stared blankly at his friend as the door come closing. He extended his cane 앞으로 and glided the door back.

They had been driving for almost five hours now but silence had been dominant between House and Pitt since they left Mayfield. All the time, the psychologist looked in front, with eyes focus on the road ahead while the diagnostician had been looking out sideway.

They turned their heads to meet with each other’s glance.

House looked away again and Pitt did the same with eyes back on the road.

House: 당신 could have given me some signs 또는 something about it... So I won’t act dumb when he told it to me this morning…
Pitt: House, that’s life in simple terms. All come in surprises, good 또는 bad… And we all look dumb when we don’t know what to feel 또는 say 또는 do as those things flashes before our naked eyes…
House: Hmm, I am even surprise to find myself not even mad 또는 jealous of what Wilson did… I know I am but it’s not a deep burden… Sure, there’s pain but ---
Another glance.
Pitt: Well, maybe because 당신 know that Cuddy didn’t totally folded even if it was James Wilson who’s 키싱 her… In that case, 당신 know Cuddy is still all yours…
They both scoffed at it.

House smiled and Pitt did the same as they head to where House knows where (or whom) he truly belongs.
