The Nyotalia Episode (Raw Version)

Cheshire_Pasta A small note for those expecting it to be 20 minutes: The episode is actually 5 minutes (well, 4 minutes and 59 seconds to be exact) not 20 minutes. I think there was a mix up with the DVD that came out. The run time for the DVD itself is 20 minutes not the episode. The DVD includes special features of which I can't remember, along with the 5 minute episode. I'll have to check the reblogged post on my Tumblr for the features again. Anyways, enjoy~! I apologize for the mix up~! <3

Tinekraut Finally! Here it is. It’s funny how America, Russia and Germany’s voices sound like just the high pitched version of their male counterparts. I totally approve Russia, China, France and England’s voices. Dead on! America’s VA could have made her voice acting livelier and cockier to match Konishi Katsuyuki, and Prussia (shown in the intro) could have also sounded rowdier and lower pitched since these 2 genderbent are the closest to the personality of their original male version. I was expecting Japan would have softer (or maybe kind of aspirated like the male version), youngish voice since it seems Japanese girls are thought as stereotypically cutesy-voiced or at least to emphasize her child-like physical appearance and docile personality just as her male counterpart. I was also expecting Germany to have lower voice but I’m okay of how it turned out. As of Italy, I would have wanted her to have more womanly voice to match how Hima distinguishes her from the original male version as more aggressive and reckless. I thought Maeda Rena would make Italy kind of sound like Machi from HunterxHunter. (Did you know that this seiyuu is only 23 y/o. Relatively younger than typical VA.) As of England, I like her a lot better now that I see she’s rightly portrayed as a true blue kuudere rather than cutesy Alice-in-Wonderland. I always imagine her having mature voice so it satisfied me best when I heard she sounds like that. On my previous comment, I said, I wanted the two, Italy and England, to have mature voice. But between them, I thought it was more likely that they’d do the “mistake” of giving youngish voice to England rather than Italy. But I guess I got it wrong; it’s the other way around.
