Don't laugh, this is an honest question.

Has anyone ever tried getting a dementor to suck the soul out of a Horcrux? That is hhow dementors "eat" after all. If a dementor sucks the soul out of the Horcrux, 당신 don't have to go through the rather messy job of destroying the object. And, in the case of Moldywart's Horcruxes, you'd be able to save some very valuble objects.

Well... Maybe. Im not sure if the dementers can eat it per say (XD)but since its an object and im pretty sure dementors dont have any teeth, I'd be really hard to eat Voldimorts horcrux.

However, that is a very interesting idea, and I would imagine that it might just work, as long as the dementor was able to locate an opening through which the soul-piece could be removed.
