Do 당신 believe that 당신 can only be a Harry Potter 팬 if 당신 have read all of the books?

I think if 당신 are a real 팬 당신 should read the books. 당신 can be a 팬 of the 영화 but if 당신 are a 팬 of Harry Potter 당신 read the book because that is the really Harry Potter.
What I get from your 코멘트 당신 are a real HP 팬 because 당신 are trying to read the 책 and maybe even want to read all of them.

To those people who complains about that they can't read for some reasons, there is a reason there is audio books. I have read and "read" all of the 책 myself several times (16/7 times, the last one only 6 times). I even learn to read properly from HP but I do listen to the audio 책 sometimes because I don't like to read so much anymore like I did before, so today I try to walk so much as possible and in the mean time I listen to the books. English isn't my first language but I listen to them in English because I 사랑 his voice, I mean he really brings the characters alive. And when I listen to them in English, I improve english at the same time.
I really enjoy that.

당신 can be a 팬 at any time, even just watching the movies. However, to be a true, die-hard fan, 당신 have to read the books. But you're already 읽기 the books, so if 당신 continue to 사랑 them and read them, then you're perfectly die-hard :)

Personnally I have read all the 책 and I've seen all the 영화 but I just consider myself just as a fan.
I don't believe of the crap and I repeat clearly myself THE crap other 팬 또는 people call "TRUE FAN" it doesn't exist such a thing 또는 person 또는 group of persons.
It's just a damn way to separate us and to make people feel bad just because they only like the 책 또는 only likes the movies.
For me 당신 are A 팬 because 당신 like what 당신 read 또는 watched 또는 both, that is a fan.
Being a 팬 is just liking the 책 또는 just one book 또는 one movie. People who say: "True 팬 blablabla" just wants to give themselves some importance. I don't see the big deal about it. We're all HP 팬 and we're all equal just 의해 that.

At least 당신 aren't one of those people who watches the 영화 then reads the first two pages of the first book and say, "I don't like it. It's stupid." Hope 당신 finish them soon!

My Sister and Brother didn't start 읽기 the 책 until they saw the films. And my Mother, who has seen all the movies, has never once picked up a Harry Potter book, and she calls her self a "Die-hard" fan.

I stared loving Harry Potter when I saw the HP1 movie! I was so in 사랑 with it. U don't have to read all 7 책 to become a 팬 of HP, HP is sooo cool that 당신 can be a 팬 of it 의해 only watching the HP 1 movie ;) it's possible. And I did'nt read all 책 yet,I just read HP 1,2 & 3 and saw all the movies. I agree with @innocenta.

No 당신 don't need to have read all the 책 I was 3 when I became a 팬 of Harry Potter and I couldn't read and so far I have only read Chamber of Secrets and the Prisoner of Azkaban

I don't agree with your mom at all. Being a 'real' 팬 of anything is subjective. I've seen all the moves, read all the 책 -- starting when they first came out --, been to almost all the midnight releases, dressed up as characters, and had themed parties. But I don't have the 책 on tape, and hardly have any memorabilia, and some might say that I'm not a 'real fan.'

A real 팬 is someone who loves the series, regardless of whether they've read all the books, seen all the movies, only got into it because of certain actors 또는 movies, 또는 got into it once it got 'popular.' The way I see it: if someone tells 당신 you're not a real 팬 because 당신 didn't do what they've done, they're just trying to make themselves look and feel better 의해 making 당신 look small.

I think that's a minimum, as everything started there, in the books. There might have been no movies, yet the 책 are still there.

The 영화 are great and in so many aspects, they convey what the atmosphere of the 책 fairly well. Plus the cast is just wonderful. I encourage my students in the English language to watch the 영화 because they are an highly enjoyable way to improve English, thanks to the impeccable diction of some of the actors.

However, the 영화 could not tell everything. Many important subplots have been discarded. The 책 are far richer and it's a pity not to read them.

Well you're a 팬 of the 영화 , but to be a TRUE 팬 당신 have to read the 책 . I mean that's what everythings based on and I believe 당신 do have to read the 책 if 당신 want to call yourself a true potterhead .

No. I'm a very big 팬 of the movies. But never read the books. Well,except I read a few chapters on book 5. Just sayin.

I don't think 당신 have to read all of the 책 to be a true HP 팬 I've only read the last 2 myself and it did help me understand 더 많이 about some of the characters better like Severus the 영화 make him look pretty bad but once 당신 read the 책 당신 really understand why he had to be the way he was

You're a real 팬 when 당신 believe you're a real fan, not when other believe it.

당신 certainly can be a real HP 팬 without 읽기 the books, but you're cheating yourself if 당신 don't read them. The 영화 are great, sure, but they pale in comparison to what JK Rowling wrote. When 당신 watch the movies, you're only getting maybe a quarter of the story, and you're getting someone else's vision of it. Only when 당신 read the 책 do 당신 get the whole story, and 당신 can make your own movie in your mind. 당신 have your own vision of the story, and I think that's far 더 많이 valuable.

And honestly, 당신 don't really know the true depth of the characters if 당신 don't read them. And if 당신 never read the books, then 당신 will never truly understand how brave, how awesome was our Potions Master, 또는 how great was his sacrifice, because the 영화 do not do Severus Snape justice. Alan Rickman does, have no doubt, but the films just don't.

And if you're a 팬 of Sirius Black and Remus Lupin, as I am (passionately), you'll never really know them if 당신 don't read the books. Because the 영화 trivialize them terribly.

I don't think 당신 have to read the 책 to be a fan. I have several 프렌즈 that like the 영화 and have never picked up one of the 책 in their lives. That being said, I always encourage people to read the books. They have so many awesome moments in them that, unfortunately, never made it to the big screen. It takes longer to read a book than to watch a movie, but the 책 are totally worth reading. 당신 can't get a full understanding of the magical world and of Harry's story if 당신 just watch the movies.

i personally don't think it matters what 당신 do its 더 많이 of how 당신 feel about something that makes 당신 a true 팬 if 당신 read all the 책 and watch all the 영화 but don't have a huge interest in it than your not a true 팬 but if 당신 read a few 책 또는 watch some 영화 and absolutly 사랑 it than i think that makes 당신 a fan. I think its a personal desicion and judgement whether 또는 not your a 팬 no one else can say that your not a real 팬 because 당신 do 또는 don't do something that is up to you. If that makes sense

No. 당신 don't have to read the 책 to be a true HP fan. Either makes 당신 a fan. Just as long as 당신 사랑 the story. But 당신 might get a better understanding of the story and get to read somethings that wasn't in the 영화 if 당신 read the books.
