She always enjoyed 연기 and began performing 의해 the age of five in front of 프렌즈 and family. 의해 the time she was seven, she was already taking dance lessons (ballet, jazz, tap) and performing recitals in front of larger groups. Although she liked to dance, she also liked to act, sing and play drums.
In 2002 she got an agent (Kermond Management) and soon landed her first commercial (for Asguard), which aired in Australia – but that was the first of many such as Kool Aid. She also began to do some modeling as well. These smaller appearances blossomed into much larger roles.
She first appeared on a 텔레비전 show in 2003 on an episode of All Saints, then later that 년 received the full time role of Abby Oakly on the 텔레비전 series Snobs. [Fast fact: she learned horse riding and surfing for this part]
In 2004, she received her break-out role as Matilda Hunter on the 인기 (in AU and UK) TV series 집 and Away. When her agent called to tell her she got the role, she was so happy that she began to run around her house screaming. Her performance in 집 and Away brought her a nomination for the 2005 Logie Award for Most 인기 New Talent – Female. She also appeared a few times on daily TV magazine show, Girl TV in 2004.
