i kinda agree with loveXheart. Rachel does work hard for what she wants. Mercedes is lazy. but Will tells her she is lazy but she blames Rachel for being too good. but the only time I think Mercedes has ever done better than Rachel was the last performance for the role of Maria. But that does not mean she deserves it. She should not act that way towards Rachel && the other Glee members. She is mad at Rachel because other people give her parts she works for. Mercedes has no reason to be so hostile towards Rachel.

I loved Mercedes...up until this episode. Her boyfriend giving her confidence to believe in herself is one thing, but standing in front of the entire Glee club (minus Artie for some inexplicable reason) proclaiming how she was so much better than everyone of her fellow members was waaaay over the line.

Rachel did something underhanded and totally self centered, but that is not a new development LOL.

It's exactly what I've been saying. Mercedes doesn't even practice. Rachel on the other hand practices everyday. Rachel is perfect for Maria, her voice is enough to confirm it.

I don't think most people are mad at Rachel for the whole Maria casting drama, most are mad because she went behind Kurt's back to purposely run against him when she knew all along how much he wanted to be class president. You could even see it in her own face how guilty she was when she was telling him she basically traded in their friendship for her own self centered antics...yet again.

And btw I still can't understand why is everyone hating on Mercedes... because she wanted to be the spotlight for once? Rachel does all the time and she doesn't care if someone else wants it as much as her. "She accepted to share the role" Of course she did! She knew Mercedes beated her, she had no chance to get the role so of course she wanted to share it! Her acttitute really pisses me off, you may hate me but this episode made realize of how much I... what's the word?... dislike her maybe? whatever, I don't like her! and I really would want someone to tell me why do you love Rachel? and a real reason, being talented is not one, be the best either because you can't compare her voice with others when they are too different, "she knows what she wants and it's not afrait to go for it" may work but you one thing is "go for it" and another really different is never care about anything/anyone to go for it. I really would've like she to be honest and decline the role because yes, sure she wanted it but it was Mercedes' she beated her! I'm really sick of her actittude. Sorry not sorry. No regrets.

I didn't really like Mercedes in this episode and also Rachel in some parts.
