I'll explain my additions, preferably other people could who add others too?

Gunther simply because he's the only guest character who is in pretty much every episode and has a constant presence. Mike is obvious, he became a regular character and married Phoebe, thus 'cementing' his place as a potential seventh Friend. Carol I chose because before Friends started it is explained that she was one of the group :)

I dunno..even though i like Mike a lot and his hilarious contributions to the group, i've never really considered him, or anyone else, as part of the group.

It's hard, because although Gunther and Carol have been in it from day one, Mike is MARRIED to a friend.

I was torn between him and Gunther though, because Gunther is just a legend.

He's more a supporting character though.

Added Janice, since she was in quite a few episodes, and really is memorable... However, I don't think there really is (was) someone worth adding to the Friends :)

I think if there had to be a 7th friend it would be Mike then Gunther, but neither of them have the same relationship as the other friends do. There really can't be a 7th friend, because no one else has been there since the beginning with the same connection.

so what if mike married phoebe? gunthers in it more. id actually pick janice, but theyre not friends with her because she's so unbearably annoying.

But when Mike married Phoebe he would be in the show all the time because he'd always be hanging out with them. I say he WOULD because I think the show ended before we could see that much of him.

6 is the even number, 7 is a crowd! But if I REALLY had to choose someone out of those choices it would be Mike or Carol.

But if so it would be Mike.

Mike is only in the last two series' but Gunther is in all of them, and lets face it they are in the cofee house ALL THE TIME

In his episodes with the 6 friends, he sounded like their 7th friend and I think he didn't hang out with them a lot because the writers didn't want him to be like that.
