No, it doesn't really bother me. I don't see it that often and besides I always cut the newbies some slack. They certainly don't deserve to be reported just for asking a question. No matter how many times it's been asked before.

Newbies? I knew how to make a spot on the first day. I just simply give them the link and a short description (like reminding them of the search bar and the faqs). No need to report or anything.

Nope not at all if i can help someone weather they are new or been on here for a while and they can ask me 1000 times a day and it wouldn't worry me, as if i can help and anyone i will, and their is no need to report them!

of course! its spam! i dont report the user but i report the 10093672 answer request. and excuse me it has nothing to do with being new. i was new once and i wasnt such an idiot back then. also i searched. and i did ask a question once..but i said i had really searched and that i was having a blonde moment and everyone was gracious aboot it.

the problem isnt always the fact its repeated but the fact that if they TURNED ON THEIR BRAIN ONCE they would find the answer! its just lazy!

It annoys me a bit that some people don't search first to see if someone made a thread already about what they want to ask, but I don't report it. That's harsh for new members here.

I asked about medals however i figured out clubs on my first day

however i asked how the medal system works not how to get a medal

can i just say in general that reporting isnt harsh? i think thats a huge misconception. just because you report something DOESNT mean it automatically gets removed. and if it DOES get removed its because we all dont want fanpop cluttered with stuff like that because it means there will be tons of useless content on top of the USEFUL content. its creating SPAM people need to look through when browsing the spots. every bit of miscategorized or invalid content reported HELPS fanpop to stay a place that people lIKE to navigate through!

if you are new to fanpop and the first featured answer requests on the spotpage are "OMG I GOT A MEDAL WHAT DO YOU THINK!" and "how do i add images" and "OMG CAN U RATE MY STUFF" i dont think an ootsider will appreciate what fanpop is all aboot! its useless content and should be removed so that ACTUAL content can be featured.

Why to report them???
Every day many people are joining fanpop so it's normal to ask things like those.
And i love to answer them.

no ,they dont bother me I put myself in the other persons shoes would I want people reporting me just because I asked a question I didnt know the answer to?

I might start to report those questions ONLY if the user has been on fanpop for a while.

Mainly because they don't really bother me and some of them who ask it are new too so it's hard to do something like that because a user is new and they don't know how it works,but I try to not to get too caught up on things like that.

It's a bit annoying when you come across the same question for what feels like the millionth time, but I do understand it. Some new members are just genuinely asking for help and explanations because this information isn't exactly made obvious when you join.

Are duplicate questions reportable, anyway?
