I guess you're already kind of resolved about this, but I thought I'd tell 당신 my standing on it anyway.

If I receive messages and 벽 posts asking for me to 가입하기 spots 또는 'fan' content from Fanpoppers who I have had no prior contact with, and I'm busy, I simply ignore their pleas, with the 안전한, 안전 assumption that they've sent them to dozens of people, and even if I didn't want to upset them 의해 being non-responsive, they wouldn't notice.
However, when I have nothing on my hands (Fanpop-wise), I tend to check out their content and see if it's any good, and if I think it contributes to the club well,...

or: "Basic information about removing your account"

Special thanks to link, our 팬팝 guinea pig. (or should I say lab rat?)

Removing your own account is a pretty new feature, many people may not be aware of it yet.
If 당신 go to Edit Profile and scroll all the way down, you'll find:
If you'd like to remove your account, click here.

Now what does this mean?

If 당신 삭제 your account, 당신 must know that:
Your contributions will not be deleted.

All your images, links, comments, 포럼 posts, 벽 posts, replies remain on fanpop, 다음 to your username.
If 당신 click on that 아이디 however, 당신 will be...

The 팬팝 website has been around for quite a few years now- 3 years in fact, and whilst it is still relatively unknown compared to the likes of Myspace, 페이스북 and the so-called phenomenon known as Twitter, it is still for me THE website that I pay a visit to on a regular basis.

Fanpop was formerly a small relatively unknown website, whose number of members have grown, 월 의해 month, 년 의해 year.

With features such as uploading images, submitting website 링그 to other 기사 and 당신 Tube 비디오 to 글쓰기 articles, opinion pieces and posting your works of art and creating trivia questions,...

Well, I started using 팬팝 back in May 2007, and since then I see how the community keeps increasing in numbers which is great. I haven't been the most active user for a while now, but as I said somewhere else, I've always loved the site and therefore I come back every once in a while to spend some time fanpopping.

There is something I've noticed lately, that is obviously hard to control as the amount of users grows, but I thought I would point it out. What I noticed is a serious misunderstanding of the idea behind the "props" feature.

~ Let's start with the basics, according to the Online...

The concept of the prop is wonderful. 팬팝 is a user based site and users should have the ability to reward others for their hard work. I also agree with the idea behind Prop Day. It should serve as a reminder to all users to give that reward. However, the prop system has become flawed. Very flawed. I happened upon a user 프로필 and saw several props. I looked to see when the user started Fanpopping and saw that it had only been two months. Wow! This person must have added tons of content. So I looked at the activity. No 링그 had been added, no videos, no 이미지 (mind you, the 프로필 had...

I'm not afraid of you, Ghost!
I'm not afraid of you, Ghost!
So I was hanging out on my computer this evening, watching some 비디오 and browsing on Fanpop, when I noticed something that disturbed me. In not one, but two different spots. I discovered several examples of what I believe to be "Ghost Accounts".

"Ghost Accounts" are what I'm calling additional accounts created 의해 an already existing 팬팝 member to skew the results of a pick 또는 an argument in their favor. I have read things 게시됨 의해 other Fanpoppers suggesting their existence in the past, but hadn't knowingly spotted any for myself. Tonight I believe I spotted three different people doing...

I did it again.

I accidentally hit the "start chat" tab again.

And couldn't remember how make it go away.

I've had this problem a few times before and have to re-learn it every time.

For some reason, I'm always under the impression that the solution lies under my 프로필 settings.

It does not.

So now there is an 기사 to remind me, and anyone else who needs it, how to get rid of this dang thang.

 NOOOOOO
NOOOOOO

Step 1: Under the "contacts" tab, click "I am online." The words, not the pencil. If 당신 click the pencil, it will complicate things and you'll have to reload the page.

 LET ME OUT
LET ME OUT

Step 2: Click "Log out."

Anddd we're back to normal. Carry on.
Anddd we're back to normal. Carry on.

It's not the most obvious way out, but it's easy once 당신 finally remember how to do it, so I hope this helps cut down on some frustration. (If not for you, at least for me 다음 time I accidentally open it and frantically 검색 for a solution. =P)
Yeah, I know this is kinda lame, but this is all I could think up! :'(

Just go to an article, (or look the person who 당신 want to message up) and click their name near the top. 팬팝 will show 당신 their 프로필 page and scroll down until 당신 find the "Message" tab. Click it and ...voila!

Just type your message and send it. If they message 당신 back, your 메시지함 will tell you! Try it!

Sorry if this was lame! :(

Have 당신 noticed that people on this site add lots and lots of things and gain load's of 팬 then out of nowhere are never adding again 또는 only add now and then. Look through your 팬 list and see who is still adding and praise them for there loyalty and praise even 더 많이 또는 even prop them for their work, they all deserve it.

의해 the way this is my first soapbox

Ok, I usually don't make user guides but this one needs to be made. I have seen a lot of picks and a lot of them are boring 또는 annoying. Here is a list of steps to help 당신 out.

1. Try to have 더 많이 than three 답변 if possible. If the 질문 is "Who should Jim be with?" Put, Karen and Pam, and then put an answer like neither 또는 Katy.

2.Always have pictures for the 질문 if it isn't a yes, no, 또는 maybe question. Pictures bring in 더 많이 팬 and make the picks 더 많이 interesting.

3. Try to ask 질문 that people haven't already asked and 질문 that people will be interested in. Don't make it boring.

Now these are the three golden steps to making a good, quality pick on fanpop. If 당신 feel I need to add anything, then please leave it in the comments.

I have a pet peeve.

As a writer, I have found my stuff 게시됨 on other websites without my permission, and sometimes without so much as a mention that it was MY article... 또는 a link back to the original. This ticks me off, and it is illegal to do so.

I have not come across this on 팬팝 with 기사 yet, but I have seen it numerous times on images.

Some of the people I adore the most are even doing it. I have to assume innocence here and figure some folks just don't know... so I'ma tell ya ;)

Credit. Credit. Credit. The option to add the 사진 credit when 당신 제출하기 an image is there for a reason....

I'm guessing a lot of people have all ready have found this problem but if 당신 don't understand then it's like this:
One 일 I decided to create a new club of something that didn't exist as a club yet but I couldn't find the 'Create a club' button. Trust me I looked high and low for the thing but couldn't find it. When I logged out of my account at last there I saw it, the 'Create a club button' so when I clicked on it they of course asked me to sign back in but when I did I was the same position I was in before clicking.
For some people this problem don't seem to happen but for people like me who want to create clubs but can't because the button is unavailable well it's frustrating. I've been looking abound for some kind of answer but the only thing that came up was a link link
this only leads to 당신 having to sign in again. I don't know if it's the signing in thing that's the problem but it really shouldn't be.
Please fix this problem Fanpop!

 Why are 키워드 so important?
Why are keywords so important?
What are keywords?

Why should I use them?

How can 키워드 help me?

Keywords are 태그 that 당신 place on the content 당신 제출하기 to 팬팝 so that other 팬 can find it. 당신 don't need to use a lot of them, just the relevant ones. You'll want to use words that describe what's in the content. Who is in it, what episode it's from, etc.

Example:
supernatural, dean, 4x18, the monster at the end of this book
supernatural, dean, 4x18, the monster at the end of this book

This example is very simple. It's an 아이콘 from the show 수퍼내츄럴 [keyword], the subject is Dean [keyword], it's from episode 4x18 [keyword] 'The Monster at the End of This Book' [keyword]....
