She left because the writers wouldn't allow her to write any episodes, also she did not like how much the show focused on Steve Urkel, since the show was a spin off of her character on Perfect Strangers.

I don't blame her for getting fed up, cause she should have been more a part of the show, the Idiots in Charge should have realized the were gonna lose one of their best people and write more stories for her and let her have more input.
