How does "Evanescence" compare to their other albums?

at first i was really disappointed but then after another listen i started to like it and now i think it's a solid album. but i still don't like it as much as their other ones.

To be honest I AM disappointed! It's a really good album & the lyrics speak so good to me but I just can't feel that special thing what I feel in Fallen & The Open Door. Before I heard the songs, I thought they would be like soooo powerful,emotional and the bests ever!! I would listen to them every single 일 but it didn't happen.
To me this is definitely not their best album! I looove Fallen & The Open Door sooooo much 더 많이 and I also like their old sound much much more! Also Origin..this darker songs.

I agree, I 사랑 the new album 더 많이 than the old ones, and I wasn't disappointed at all, and I didn't see much difference, really, it's still sound like 에반에센스 to me, maybe that's because I 사랑 them so much, and I 사랑 everything that comes from them. <3

I was suprised because it was quite different but I still like the sound. I thought that Fallen and The Open Door were really different as well. What 당신 Want and Sick are going on my list of best songs ever!!!

this is the best album I have ever heard befor this album released I was 사랑 fallen but when I heared this album from the first time I loved it and i can't compare this album bettwen fallen and the open door I 사랑 all thier albumesbut I 사랑 thier new one most

I think it's a good album. It's my least 가장 좋아하는 of all of their albums, but it's still a good album.

The thing is, I actually love the darker elements from their earlier albums. I thought the "gothic" sound was perfect for them. I 사랑 the heavier stuff too, but when it comes to heavy 음악 in general I usually like to go straight to metal, so the dark stuff was 더 많이 of my thing. I know this album was a lot of people's 가장 좋아하는 album because a lot of them don't like that other stuff, but I honestly love it. I don't know why, but the darker subjects make me feel 더 많이 and get my imagination spinning. Their latest album is 더 많이 "normal" sounding, and 사무용 겉옷, 전반적인 it feels different than the other albums. They seemed 더 많이 like the traditional rock band than the old 에반에센스 that truly stood out from other bands.
