I entered the house to find Emmett and Jasper absorbed in a video game, with Alice perched on the 침상, 소파 flipping through a magazine.

“I couldn’t possibly hunt anymore,” I explained. “Plus, I was hoping to be there when Bella arrived home, since she forgot her phone.”

Alice managed to wait until the end of the school 일 before mentioning her “brilliant” idea to Bella. We were walking to the car when she suddenly stopped and closed her eyes.

“I have foreseen…” she began, sounding like a psychic you’d reach on a 900 line. I attempted to elbow her in the ribs to get her to cut it out, but she saw it coming and dodged it. “Fine. Edward is making me do this. But I did foresee that 당신 would be 더 많이 difficult if I surprised you.”

As Bella swung the door open, her face was full of excitement. She slowly skimmed my face over, looking and remembering each part, engraving it into her mind. In Alice's vision, I see Victoria in the forest right near Forks. Alice's face was completely blank, and I controlled my expression so Angela and Ben won't be wondering what's going on. We still have a secret to protect, the only exception was Bella.
"Alice? Alice!" Angela yelled while moving her hands back and forth in front of Alice's face. I stopped looking at the horror-strucked vision and pretended that it was not a big deal. I didn't need Bella to get worried. I won't let anything happen to her.
