Courtney's POV: I packed the rest of the small things in my room into the last box. I closed the lid and looked around my room. It was empty except for the heavy furniture such as my dresser, desk, 침대 and TV set. "Courtney! Bring down the rest of your stuff! The movers are here!" my dad yelled from downstairs. We're moving again. This time, to New York. I'm only leaving one true friend behind so I won't have much to be sad about. I walked downstairs with the box as the bug mover men walked past me up to my room. Ever since my mom died, my dad can't seem to stay in one place for too long. I took the box down to my dad as he put it into the car. My dad saw the sad expression on my face and said, "This is the last move, I swear." "You said that last time when we moved here." I said. He walked away as my best friend got out of the car and walked up to me. "I can't believe you're moving today."Bridgette said. "Yeah,  wanna go up to my, uh, room?"I asked. "Sure." she said. We walked up to my room as she said, "Wow. I've never seen 당신 room so empty." i nodded. "Courtney! Come on! It's time to go!" my dad yelled. Bridgette and I walked slowly downstairs, and I was still on the 초 landing. "Wanna play one last round of Play Station?" Bridgette asked. "No thanks." I said. "Your wish is my command."Bridgette said and snapped her fingers. I looked at the small side 표, 테이블 and the Play Station was gone. I pointed my index finger at the 표, 테이블 where the game device was and said, "I don't wanna know. Well, i take that back. Give me a call when I'm in New York and tell me about it." "Okay. Call me at least once a week. Preferably on Saturdays so 당신 can tell me what happened the whole week. Bye." Bridgette said and hugged me goodbye. "Bye."I said and got into the car. Rain drops rushed to the end of the windows as my dad began to drive off. 
The drive to New York was really silent. I mean, there was some talking every 시간 than that, it was quiet. We finally got to New York after 12 hours of endless driving. I'd lived in New York once before when I was 10. I met this boy there and we became best 프렌즈 almost instantly. Bridgette's my 2nd best friend. I lived down the hall from him and I remember that we used to play Play Station until one of us fell asleep. His name was Duncan. I missed him and everything but 당신 start to 옮기기 on after 7 years. "What room are we moving into?" I asked my dad as he grabbed the room key. "7B." he said. That was the room that I used to live in. I secretly smiled as I sped up my pace to the elevator. We got to the room and I threw my bag on my bed. "I'll be down the hall.l I called to my dad. "Okay." my dad replied. I took a deep breath before leaving and tried to calm down. I was now calm and opened the door. I walked down the familiar hallway and looked for Duncan's apartment number. I finally found it at the end of the hall with a dull, flickering light above the door. I knocked on the door and I waited. The door opened after about 5 minutes. It was Duncan. His hair was grown out to the end of his eyes; he dyed it completely black. He was wearing black skinny jeans and a baggy Green 일 음악회, 콘서트 t-shirt. He flipped his hair so he could see out of one eye, then his eye widened. "Courtney! Oh my God! You're here! What are 당신 doing in New York?!" Duncan said with delight. He gave me a big hug as I hugged him back. I could smell his cologne on his shirt, and it smelled really good on him. Duncan invited me in and then I stepped in through the doorway. Duncan walked over to the couch. He patted the 좌석 다음 to him for me to sit down. I walked over to him and sat down. "Wanna play?" Duncan asked picking up a Play Station remote. I laughed and said, "I remember this." we started playing the gaming system. I beat him a couple of times and sometimes I knew that he let me win. I put down the remote and checked the time. 10 : 30 p.m. "I gotta get home." I said standing up. Duncan stood up as well and walked me to the door. I stood out in the hallway as Duncan gave me a quick hug goodbye. "Im so happy 당신 came back." Duncan said letting go of me. I smiled and walked back down the hallway. I didn't hear Duncan's door close until I opened mine. I closed my door and went into my bedroom. I fell asleep shortly thinking about tomorrow.
