I don't think so. The Beast really did have a heart, it was just hidden under years of being spoiled and lonely. Gaston...he's just cocky & mean for the fun of it.

He isn't the kind of villain I can see redempting

I agree with Animaluco and hisblueeyes. While I could see Belle trying to change him, I can't see Gaston redeeming. He made it clear that he only liked her because she was as good-looking as him. Gaston is like more like the kind of guy who at first, you thought was handsome but by the time you date or marry him, he reveals his ugliness to you.

I dunno. It kind of seems like one if you can redeem one hot-tempered, spoiled brat you can save another one. It seems kind of presumptuous to assume Gaston is a lost cause just because he's billed as the antagonist.

He definitely could have had a change of heart, but I don't think Belle was the one for the job.

Neither nor - Belle didn't change the Beast like some sort of strange project (thankfully). She spend time with him, and the Beast changed himself. Gaston spend time with Belle too, and didn't change at all. But a lost cause? I don't know.

He's a very close-minded person. But just looking at the yes option picture, I think one way or another Belle could change him. He is challenged by her after all.

no, belle didn't change anyone,beast changed himself,nobody can be forced,thats a choice people can only make for themselves and i dont think Gaston would choose to, given that he's been worshipped all his life for his own obnoxious self.belle is pretty much the only one who can see his flaws,so he would probably think the problem is with belle and not himself

ok the beast had that temper that was terrible so i don't think it would be that hard for her to change Gaston.
