Another question I'm very curious about. In my short experience on fanpop, I've noticed people seem to love Lotti but hate Giselle. I find this interesting since I find them to be very similar characters, (although I find Lotti to be slightly more irritating, even though I love her). I'm just wondering people's opinions and why they feel the way they do about the characters.

None of these are true though.. I like Lottie and I don't mind Giselle.

And I don't think they're that similar, really - Giselle is much more sickly sweet and is a caricature of previous Princesses whereas Lottie is more humorous and original.

I love Enchanted. :) And as someone who actually grew up near spoiled Southern rich girls, I find Lottie insanely irritating. lol.

Did people hate Enchanted because it was supposed to be a parody of the princess movies? Because I think they did it very lovingly and with respect towards them. People keep saying Giselle was annoying, but I'm kinda confused on the details of that. I get that she was acted like how all the princesses from the parks act, but she was sweet, naive, and hilarious. And how can anyone not love the music? "That's How You Know" is one of Alan Menken's best! And although it was only 20 minutes or so, I actually count Enchanted as Disney's return to hand-drawn animation.

I guess it confuses me so much because until I went on fanpop, I never met anyone that didn't like Enchanted.

I don't really have an opinion about Giselle. I'm not really a fan of enchanted, not because it's a parody, but because it's more an parody of what people think Disney princess movies are about and not of what they really are, thus confirming the predjuiced people already have (do I make sense?).
Either way, I adooooooore Lotti, is the one thing I really love about Princess and the Frog, no quesiton asked. And I don't think those characters are really similiar. Lottie is more the fangirl, who celebrates everything what Disney princesses stand for (and I mean more than just the fine clothes), while Giselle is more about the question how the dream world and the real world go together. But that's a question I don't really want an answer to.

But more practical spoken: Lotti belongs into this spot, being part of an official DP Movie. Giselle doesn't.

^^^ Agreed. I think I saw Enchanted loooooong time ago and maybe I didn't even watch it untill the end so honestly I don't remember most of it and what Giselle was about, but Lotti was definitely the ONLY part of PATF (aside from Tiana's mother) that I enjoyed and the only character I could respect and in fact I only set through the whole movie because I wanted to know what happens to her in the end and such a shame she didn't get her happy ending whereas two of my most disliked Disney characters aka Naveen and Tiana did.

Ok, so after having seen Enchanted properly I finally realized that the movie overall was actually great, however, I could barely stand Giselle and the fact that she was supposed to be a parody on classic princesses, the ones that were not even nearly as shallow and one dimentional and had actual depth and struggles to overcome on their way to happiness. To top that off, the "non-animated" version of Giselle got absolutely no development nor did her storyline represent what it was theoretically supposed to be about. Instead of showing how a character with specific traits would struggle to fit into the reality that wasn't seemingly suitable for them or showing Giselle overcoming obstacles and comllications in the "world where there's no love" aka NY her storyline was all about how she would get anything as long as she points her little finger and says "want!" - even if that "anything" is a soon to be married man. That being said, I ADORED Prince Edward and the character of Nancy.

I also changed my views on PaTF, I do like this movie now and I gained a newfound appreciation for Tiana. Still not a fan of Naveen though.
