ppv picked Aimili/Amelia (means "effort"):
Amelia would be just perfect for her!!!! When I saw the movie I was thinking that she should have been named Amelia. But yeah, Tiana is a cool name too!

What I really like about Tiana's name is that it's not a stereotypical "Black" name. And I think Tiana is a pretty name. I'm glad they gave her this name.

her original name was Maddie, before they decided to change it to Tiana. i'm glad they did, it suits her more.

Any name that would be used in the 1920s actually. "Tiana" didn't come into popular usage until the 1970s.

AnnaKay19 picked Shaylee (Celtic, means "fairy princess of the field"):
Tiana means "fairy queen" and I think its pretty. But I think Shaylee is prettier and could suit her fairly good. As kenzieiscool pointed out though, I doubt it was popular in the 1920s in New Orleans! ;)

Just because it was the name they were going to call her. I do like Tiana though of course.

BelleAnastasia picked Estella (means "star"):
Suits the whole plot of the movie more than the name Tiana does IMO.
