To me, Cinderella seems a bit dim..

I guess Aurora, Snow White, or Cinderella.
Although I did get the sense that they might have meant a liberal political viewpoint...and/or just a liberal attitude/personality in general. It does seem that the older three would be more conservative in a lot of ways than the more recent girls, but still, this is probably the best answer.

I think Ariel is plenty bright--she is, however, also young, impetuous, impulsive, and prone to being blinded by desire...all of which can kind of overshadow her intelligence a bit.
