Yes, I don't know how anybody can say that one of them didn't deserve a happy ending. Even the most controversial on deserving a happy ending Ariel deserved "A" happy ending. Saying one of them didn't deserve happiness in there life is like cursing someone to eternal saddiness and despair. I mean really? Who would be that shallow? I mean I understand if you don't like how somebody got their happy ending like for me Ariel for whether if you like how they did it is completely different from if they deserve it. And in my opinion, they all did. For me it's one thing to say if you don't like a character but to stoop to whole new levels as to say they don't deserve happiness is another.
No. I might loathe Elsa for being a frightened, abused person, who can't seem to put two-plus-two- together-to-make-four--- but I would not wish her unhappiness. To do so, would be just plain petty. I'm not a petty person.
Some of them is think would be more poetic or better done, if maybe it stuck to the course material. That's one of the main reasons I like the original little mermaid along with the Legend of Mulan, they don't their princes and it's the sad fact of life, that still is a good fairytale.
