I love Aladdin so much! Prince is my 8th also and John Smith is my 9th.

I also agree with Flynn, Eric, and John Smith.

He's my fourth because he is just amazing

dimitri_is_hot yes, generally they get their fair share of attention and appreciation, however, for some reason, their fans on this particular spot are not nearly as active and vocal as the fans of other princes.

Aladdin is definitely the most enjoyable and the most developed prince. I also agree with Eric's ranking

Him and Flynn would be my closest.

None of them really, but Beast is my 5th so I guess he's the closest. John Smith is also pretty close, he's my 8th favorite

The only one we have in common, though my placing for him isn't too stable (he could be 4th).

@maryksand: I disagree. Aladdin, Flynn and Eric are definitely the most popular Princes on this club, IMO, in that exact order.

^ Eric did change positions on my list as well, because for a significant periode of time he was outshadowed by Shang in my eyes, but ultimately took over his second position before Flynn came along.

Like I said, it is the kind of impression I got from the vast majority of the ACTIVE users on this spot. So while technically those three might win the polls and generally rank high on fanpop's favourite princes list, most of the people who frequently post here seem to prefer other princes to, say, Eric and Flynn. Aladdin does evidently do better in that regard though.

Flynn is very eh to me, but he is more developed and likeable than a lot of the other princes, Eric is cool, and Aladdin is relatable and enjoyable to watch. Why does everyone hate John Smith so much?

^ I don't hate Smith at all, but I don't feel any sort of an emotional attachment to him or his characterization either. In my opinion he undeliberately dumbed Pocahontas down and got little to no individual development. I do believe he could have made an outstanding protagonist for a spin off specifically about him because there was so much left to explore in regards to his individual goals and struggles.

^ I do agree with you about the wasted potential when it comes to him. I also think Eric has a lot o wasted potential as well.

^ I'm pretty content with the way Eric was written, but I would have absolutely loved some further exploration of his incredibly compassionate and considerate personality and maybe a more detailed insight into his family history and what happened to his parents, etc. Same technically applies to Flynn, although individually he was significantly better developed than the majority of the princes.

^ I agree with you 100% on Flynn. Even though he is not my favourite prince, he is for sure one of the most developed princes. Eric does have a personality, and he was written well, but there is still a lot of mystery about him, and they don't put much view on him. People have even said that he is straight out bland. I don't think he is bland, but at he same time, he is not much more developed than his immediate predecessor

We have the same rankings for Aladdin, Flynn, Phillip and Naveen. In general the your prince list is more similar to mine, compared to our princess lists :)

Jayden-G - absolute agreement. Flynn demonstrated a profoundly well structured and organic development throughout the movie which came off as actually convincing and believable compared to many other Disney males or princes. Eric has an admirable personality and definitely isn't bland, but seeing as the movie chose to focus more on Ariel's emotional struggles we hardly got any sort of a detailed insight into Eric's side of things.

BelleAnastasia that's interesting! I didn't know Flynn was your second and that Phillip is also in your top 5:)

^ Yeah, even in Aladdin, Jasmine has a lot of the story told from her point of view, and it's like her and Aladdin share the main character role, just like Flynn and Rapunzel, and Belle and Beast. Your list is very different from mine though, but it is understandable why they are placed where they are placed.

He is also my 1st. Love him! John is close 2nd :3
