I don't hate either but I watched the movie last night and now I officially don't like the movie anymore AT ALL! I still felt nothing for Belle and I only like her in the sequels. I don't think I'll ever like either one ever again.

Meh.....Belle is okay...I like her a lot more then Jasmine....And I like this movie more then most of the other DP movies....Mostly I love the Beast and his Fracken Library....that thing is Sweet and He is one of my top favorite Princes.

I'm neutral about Beast. I think part of that is when I was a kid I hated him because he always scared me. Now I don't hate him but to me he's not that interesting and kind of annoyed me at times. Belle's better than him in my opinion. I actually literally like all the characters(except Cogsworth, Lefou, Gaston, and the Bimbettes) more than than Belle and Beast. But I do love Belle and Beast as a couple.

Because I'll chose that option if you make that. I don't think you're crazy ding bat and I think you're not the only one who doesn't like Belle and her movie.

Even though I'm totally obsessed with the Belle they came up with on "Once Upon a Time" (hense my icon), I really don't like the Disney Belle as much, I always thought she was pretty boring. I only picked this option because I wouldn't say I don't like her, I just don't really appreciate the character much if you know what I mean.

I don't love either, but I think both are good. They just don't quite hit the spot to make me love them.

Unfortunatelly, I didn't find any option that would fit my opinion about the movie and Belle. Because if I had to make one for myself, it would be: "I like the movie and Belle, but it's not my favourite movie or princess by any means". I think the movie is very well done, it has a lot of great supporting characters such as Lumiere and Chip and each of them is relevent and moves the story unlike many sidekicks from other movies that are only there when the main character needs them. In BatB there are no extrass or unimportant/insignificant characters, they all add something to the plot. However, I found it hard to admire Belle's character, because she does no development AT ALL throghout the entire movie, she remains the same all the time. Beast on the other hand shows some great development, but I couldn't help but thought it was due to his own potential to evolve than due to Belle. Belle doesn't really contribute to his development personally, it's his love for her that makes him want to be a better person.

Belle isn't my favorite princesses but she isn't my least favorite either. She is more of a middle ground for me. The movie is the same way but I don't go out of my way to put it in my VCR or DVD to watch it. If it comes on ABC family I'll watch it (but mainly for the songs).

meh, i found belle fairly boring and the overarching idea of the movie to be dumb- superficiality is bad, this means the guy doesnt have to be good-looking as long as he has a lot of material assets ex. royal status,wealth and a castle, and make sure the girl is beautiful. just remember guys, beauty lies within. umm...ok. point taken.wow.

plus, the storyline was that the beast was supposed to learn a lesson about not being superficial, by making someone fall in love with him before the last rose fell. well, the beast wooed belle, she didn't woo him or change for him, she liked him because he changed his own personality into something nicer, but he only did that because he liked what he saw in her. how does it make him unsuperficial to be nice to an attractive girl?considering he was punished in the first place for being rude to an ugly old woman, shouldn't the curse only have been broken when he could be nice to people who weren't easy on the eye? belle's falling in love with him proved that SHE wasn't superficial, but she wasnt the one who needed to learn the lesson not to be.he still could've been the shallowest person in the world and fallen in love with her,since she was beautiful. and thus,for a long while i've thought the movie makes no sense and is kind of stupid lol.

Beast wasn't touched by Belle's appearance, though. He was touched by her offer to take her father's place. Belle's appearance had the opposite effect because it made him think Belle was hopelessly out of his league. If you notice carefully, Beast only mentions Belle's beauty in a negative tone.

As it turned out, though, Belle wasn't as ridiculously perfect as Beast thought at first. She breaks her promise in mere hours, when it becomes too unbearable. She turns out to just be a normal girl with normal flaws.

Beast's moment of redemption is when he lets Belle go--which isn't just being nice to a pretty girl. It's penance to make up for his treatment of Maurice. It's Beast's fault that Maurice is sick in the first place, and also Beast's fault that Maurice is lost in the cold all alone rather than recovering some place warm. Basically, Beast finally understands the error of his ways. That's not superficial.

I feel for you, though...I always think that I'm the only one who doesn't like Aladdin.

Trust me, your issue ain't a real issue. He's my favorite disney prince but I know several people who don't like him.
