디즈니 프린세스 Article: My Opinion on Emma Watson Playing Belle

I may be a little late for this but here we go...

So I have this opinion that I don't know whether 또는 not it's popular, but I know at one point it wasn't. Everyone is just like "oh, she's going to be horrible as Belle!" But I strongly disagree, and here is why.

People say she looks nothing like Belle, so I'm just sitting here like soooo....? She looks no less the the same as Emilie de Ravin does, and she makes a great Belle on Once Upon a Time! I get it, when people see the live action versions of these movies, they want to see the characters similar in both personality wise and 디자인 wise, but they really don't look that different.

However there are reasons why I'm excited for this, especially after seeing the trailers for the movie.

For one, I find many similarities between Belle and Hermione Granger from Harry Potter, another character played 의해 Emma Watson. Seeing Emma being cast as Belle made me super excited, because I 사랑 Hermione, and I loved the way Emma Wateon played her. I mean, obviously there are differences between Hermione and Belle, but the point is seeing her play someone so similar to Belle makes me confident that she will do a good job with his role.

It may also be my personal bias, but this is also one of my 가장 좋아하는 actresses, playing a princess that is in my 상단, 맨 위로 five, so that brings a lot of excitement.

Plus her 노래 voice is so stunning, and although I thought original 노래 voice of Belle was okay, Emma's voice sure takes the cake for this! It's so clear and once again, 디즈니 has surprised me with another actress being able to sing.

So yeah, I really don't have any issues with Emma Watson as Belle, and am really excited to watch it!

RoseRapunzel I absolutely agree! I don't like that some people think she's terrible as Belle or they just see Hermione instead of Belle. I have no problem with her, in fact, I'm excited to see the great job she's surely done.

Sparklefairy375 I agree with you. Emma is a great choice for the role of Belle. I don't understand why peoples having trouble about her as Belle. They need to move on from Hermione :P Anyway, I completely agree that Emma, Belle, and Hermione are quite similar :) good-looking and smart girls :D

Mongoose09 I agree with this article, I understand why she wouldn't be everyone's taste but I think she's a perfect choice, especially since she's so passionate about the role, clearly loves the character and isn't just playing the part for the paycheck or to look good. Sure, my opinion might change when I actually watch the movie but regardless I can understand why she was picked. People say she's a bad actress and while she might not be Oscar-worthy or anything she REALLY improved over the course of the HP movies; she was brilliant in the last couple of movies IMO. I also don't get the "doesn't look like her" comments... caucasian?? check. beautiful?? check. slim?? check. brunette?? check. Even if she didn't look like her it doesn't really matter anyway, of course this movie is supposed to be similar to the animated version, but it's not supposed to be an exact replica.

deedragongirl I whole-heartedly agree, I hate it when movie stars tend to be typecast in a certain role.

quishy11 Very nice article! I don't agree because I strongly feel that Emma's and Belle's vibes are at the opposite end of the spectrum. Good actresses can create a personality fine, but the vibes do not always work. And that's the most important thing for me to get into the movie. I can still enjoy it but I won't get nearly as into it. And I like Paige's voice better, to throw my opinion out there lol.

lililc ok,i saw the trailer, she wouldn't be my first option but she seems decent. Until now the only thing i don't like about Belle in the new movie is the dress , everything else looks pretty good

hatelarxene I love this article! Emma Watson is the perfect Belle. The only thing I would disagree with you on is that the original Belle's voice is just "okay" while Emma's voice is "stunning" (though it is good). No way is Emma Watson a better singer than Paige O'Hara. No way. I honestly don't get the criticisms that she looks "nothing like Belle". Lily James didn't look like Cinderella, either, and Elle Fanning DEFINITELY looked nothing like Aurora whatsoever (and honestly, those two looked even less like their animated counterparts than Emma does to Belle). I'd rather have someone who doesn't look like the character but can actually ACT (such as James, Fanning, or especially Watson, who's also one of my favorite actresses) rather than someone who looks more the part yet CANNOT act to save lives (*cough* Emmy Rossum *cough*. Seriously, I don't know why so many people want Rossum as Belle).

Mongoose09 ^ agree, for sure. Emma definitely looks more like Belle than those two did as their characters (I love Lily James as Cinderella, don't get me wrong).

In my last few 기사 I stated my favourites out of the following movies. The objective of these 기사 are to bring out the good stuff in the 영화 and not bash them down. So this isn't a countdown, however there is a ranking of where the movie sits on my favourites list (out of twelve for twelve movies)

I finally decided to update that list, because it has really changed from the last time I wrote it.
But when I started 글쓰기 it, I was so confused and couldn't rank any of the DPs, I am probably the most indecisive person in 팬팝 (see what I mean when I say I can relate to Pocahontas?), so I decided to rank each DP's feauture separately (for example Belle's eyes: 10/10), because it's the only way for me to chose whose the most beautiful.

Yeah..I just can't cut this girl a break :/ Sorry..but really, her hair is the main reason she's my least prettiest. The red ketchup color it is is just extremely artificial looking and while the hair can look AMAZING at times (Part of Your World) on land it looses the magic of how it looked in the water. If her hair was a 더 많이 muted red it probably would've been higher....

I shall tell 당신 the truth: I've been a bit militant in my liking of Cinderella. Negatives opinions made me feel stressed and I have been stubborn and rude. What made me change my point of view and see the wrong of my ways was when I saw link: "I think 신데렐라 is both overly passive and a doormat, because it's one that leads to the other. I'm not entirely satisfied with some of the middle placings (like I am with basically every list I write, for some reason) and I'm a bit unsure if the 상단, 맨 위로 two are correctly placed, but here's who I guess would win 또는 at least last the longest in the Game of Thrones, who would sit atop the Iron Throne. I took the idea of the modelling from BKG201's article. I decided to state my opinion on which princesses would be great models. I just want to say before I start, that I don't judge only 의해 appearance, because to be a good model 당신 don't have neccesarily to be gorgeous looking. Anyway, here we go.

Snow White well even though I never played Kingdom of Hearts its implied either Snow's kingdom is called the Dwarfs' kingdom 또는 something. Well we know that Snow at least cares about dwarves and the wild animals.

Cinderella-well if 신데렐라 II counts-she does care about the 'non-notability 또는 royalty' aka townspeople being invited to her first big event. She also cares about her step-sister Anasista's 사랑 life from the same movie

Sleeping Beauty-she never real gets a change until after the movie is finished to meet her future subjects.
