뮬란 was cleaning the house when she saw a look of devastation on Shang's face as he walked in. "Is everything okay?" she asked worried. Shang tried to keep himself from breaking down. "Shang, whatever it is, 당신 can tell me." 뮬란 tried to comfort. Shang couldn't take it anymore, reached his breaking point, and broke down crying. "Shang what is it?" 뮬란 asked again. "They found my father's remains." Shang answered through his sobs. 뮬란 gasped. "Shang, that's horrible!" she said.
Shang tried to say something, but cried once more. Ling, Yao, and Chien Po came in the house slowly. "I see 당신 guys heard." 뮬란 remorsed. "Somebody was up in the mountains earlier this afternoon." Yao replied. "We'll get the remains so Shang doesn't have to." Chien Po offered. "Thanks." Shang said with a sad smile. "What am I going to tell my mother?" he questioned tearfully.
"It won't be easy, but I'm sure she'll be glad he's back 집 where he belongs." Ling consoled. 뮬란 grabbed Shang's hand and led him to the backyard. "You need to remember what Pocahontas told me when my grandmother died-he's still with you. He's never truly gone. In the wind, you'll feel his presence." she stated soothingly. Shang took a deep breath. "I don't know what to think right now." he said. "Well, to get your mind off of it all, Merida just had a birthday!" 뮬란 said excitedly. "Wow! I can't believe she's now 18!" Shang replied happily for the first time in hours.
Even if it was only for a moment 또는 so, 뮬란 had mastered the element of making people forget whatever stupid 또는 devastating thing they had going on. Though, she could make it work permanently on a now 16 월 old Ping. Shang and 뮬란 saw the little tot walking 의해 and Shang scooped him up in a second. "I need 당신 더 많이 than ever, Pal." he whispered. Ping laughed and Shang soon joined in. 뮬란 smiled. She left to give the boys some bonding time.
