To her credit, Lovato has been forthcoming about her battles, not shying away from the topic. In a chat with AOL, Lovato acknowledged that her issues are not uncommon and that so many girls feel as she did, regardless of being in the spotlight 또는 not. She cited the oft troubled actor Robert Downey, Jr. as an example of how to remain healthy and in show business at the same time. “He’s obviously dealt with a lot and he’s been able to maintain his sobriety and his career at the same time,” Lovato said about the actor, who also enjoyed a career comeback. “I kind of look at him as an inspiration. And he’s not the only one, so I’ve seen that it is possible. I took my break away from it and it felt great, but now I’m excited and I’m ready to get back into it.”
