Despite them having a moment just like Tony/Ziva and having similar characters, I find them quite different... Kensi and Deeks relationship is pretty lightweight. More laughing and happiness, no darkness coming between them. More moments. Different challenges they try to overcome like with the whole trust issue. How they have this whole love/hate relationship. And lastly, they seem like they will get together before Tiva. :)

I completely agree with ahmoniqued's first comment.
When I look at them I see that they have the same sort of chemistry but their relationship dynamic is very different from Tony and Ziva and I think the couples are going to become more different in character when they start to farther explore their different backgrounds and get more serious with where the show is heading plot wise.

I didn't think Ziva and Tony when I seen Deeks and Kensi. For me there was something there for Kensi, when she first met Deeks, well before he was her partner. I cannot help thinking Hetty searched for the 'right' person to fill those shoes. Callan and the Audience know she does not pick her Agents or potential Agents lightly. For me the Callan/Sam partnership is formed out of mateship and history. For Deeks and Kensi it's their chemistry as a couple, which makes them a tight team. We'll just have to wait and see where the writers take us. But we still have so much to learn about each of the NCIS-LA Characters.

Densi actually sort of reminds me of Tate (Tony/Kate) in some ways more then Tiva does. You see the love hate relationship between Tony/Kate as well, Tony is the humourous one while Kate is the serious one.
But that is what I think.
