Logan Lerman The "Percy Jackson" alumnus is only 23 years old, but he has more than 15 years of acting experience, including films such as "3:10 to Yuma," "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" and "Noah." Donald Glover Who says Spider-Man has to be Peter Parker? In fact, it was a fan-led campaign for "Community" star Donald Glover (also known as Childish Gambino in the music world) to play Spider-Man in Marc Webb\'s 2012 reboot that influenced Brian Michael Bendis and Axel Alonso in their creation of Miles Morales, a teenager of black Latino descent who becomes the Marvel Ultimate Universe version of Spider-Man. Elle Fanning Wait ... what? If you haven\'t been reading Spider-Man lately, you might not know that Spider-Gwen is the most popular version of the hero from the Spider-verse storyline going on. In this version, Stacy, who was played by Emma Stone in the latest movies, is the one who gets bitten by a radioactive spider instead of her friend Peter Parker. Parker died trying to be special like Gwen, and she took it hard. Despite having a cop as a father, or maybe because of it, she became Spider-Woman. Sony and Marvel Studios have spun a deal that will introduce Spider-Man to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, first in an unspecified Marvel film and then headlining his own movie in 2017. But who will play the iconic web-slinger?

Fans are already rallying behind their favorite actors, with many pointing to “Percy Jackson” alumnus Logan Lerman, who was at one point a contender for the role that went to “The Amazing Spider-Man” actor Andrew Garfield, and to “Community” actor Donald Glover (also known as Childish Gambino), who was an inspiration for Marvel’s Ultimate Universe version of Spider-Man, Miles Morales.

Others are calling for Tobey Maguire to return to the role he originated in Sam Raimi’s 2002 blockbuster and subsequent sequels. And many want Garfield to continue in the role he’s inhabited since 2012’s reboot; last year’s sequel, “The Amazing Spider-Man 2,” grossed $706 million worldwide.

95% of the names on this list are absolutely ridiculous. Do these guys really spend no time putting thought in these lists?!?!

toby? as who.. uncle ben? please… while it was fun to watch those movies when they first came out. As a fan of the comics since the 70's .. in no way did i ever believe that he had the wit, the sarcasm the teen thing going on to actually make him "real" to me… hell the guy who played him on tv would have been better than toby.. but it's all we had.. but we have real choices now.. so if you would quit comparing andrew to toby youd see that garfield wasnt bad… and no,, it doesnt have to be a total reboot bit some things will have to be "explained" in order to fit intho the MCU.. so quit crying.. and be happy… its not exactly what we all wanted.. but its a process… now.. if we could just get the x men…

Dylan O'Brien wasn't on your list but, came in number one on another list. Logan is OK.

You've got different races and even different sexes, so why stop there with the pretty versions of those. What about about an older dude? Bryan Cranston? Or a heavy girl? Rebel Wilson? That's pushing the envelope and the spandex as well. Do something different, and I'min!

At first impression I can say that I am going for an ex Harry Potter, just because it seems to me that this actor would be able to go very well in character, with extensive experience in the film industry. However, a subjective note would head to Donald Glover.

Bring Toby back to start the film, but with spidey's death make the transition to Glover.

Logan Lerman. Great actor, did great in Fury, and makes a very relatable character to fans.

top choice Andrew Garfield. Second Dylan O' brien and Spidey gwen would be great if they could bring Emma stone. fourth choice Donald Glover Fifth Logan Lerman.

IT NEEDS TO BE DONALD GLOVER!!!!! He has been after that part for years now, none of these other actors have been after the part except Micheal B. Jordan and thats recently. Donald should get the part as Miles Morales, but if they make a Peter Parker Spider-Man than i think Logan Lerman should play him.

bring back Tobey. it makes more sense for the Civil War storyline. Spidey reveals his identity after years of hiding. Spidey is older in the storyline and thats what makes it so great. he finally comes out of the spiderman closet. if we establish a new spiderman and then reveal his identity after a year it will have no impact or dramatic tension whatsever not even garfields spiderman will have impact. tobey's spidey is old enough that it would be super dramatic.
