Stefan is his brother and he cares about him and then he sacrifices someone he was "in love" with all for his plan to bring Bonnie back. I found the Jer/Bonnie/Damon, Damon drinking alone, and memorial scenes interesting. First Damon cares 더 많이 for than just a friend because he has 로스트 프렌즈 before Alaric and Rose and yes he hurt, but he did not attempt to try to bring them back and they were individuals he "cared" about. Damon being in denial is everything because he 로스트 the one person who allowed him to be himself and also guided his conscious into being a better vampire.
