D. S. BRADFORD - SOLO RECORDING ARTIST BLENDS VISUAL ART & MUSIC WITH HIS DEBUT SINGLE - “OCEANS”

As with the elusive ebb and flow of life’s highs and lows, 31 Year-old artist and musician D. S. Bradford captures the essence of life as compared to the “Oceans” with his new single, available on iTunes and other major digital stores and streaming services, on July 1st. A special PRE-ORDER PACKAGE is available on his Bandcamp page (DSBradford.bandcamp.com), which includes an immediate download of the song, and bonus items: Instrumental version of “Oceans,” lyric sheet, cover art video, cover art download (full original version), and a physical poster print of the art piece.

The cover art was also created by Bradford, the central focus on his son, coupled with the embracing grasp of the bond he shares with his fiancé. The art and the song itself are very personal to him, but the message is universal. Vibrant imagery and a surrealistic take on the world being bonded together by a single life demonstrates the singularity of the human race and the idea of the world tied together in peace, something to which we should all aspire to achieve in spite of the decay and turbulence that exists between religions, race, and economic hierarchy.

“Oceans” is a guitar-driven rock song, with elements of inspiration from the gritty guitar tones of Nirvana, the swirling lead riffs of Coheed & Cambria, and the melodic vocal timbre that compares to lead singers of bands like Green Day, Foo Fighters, and Weezer. Marrying these elements together are cleverly crafted lyrics, storytelling with interpretive openness.
