Of course. There's no better proof for any theological argument than scripture. My favorites, of course, is quoting scripture back and forth at each other in the same argument on opposing sides. There's a lot in there to support all sorts of different opinions and interpretations.

Not right away, at least. If there's one thing I've learned as a Christian, it's that you shouldn't always dive straight into verse reciting. If you truly want someone to see the love of God, demonstrate this by your ACTIONS, not just verses alone.
