while it definitely annoyed me that haley didn't take lucas and brooke's relationship serious at first, and she kept encouraging peyton to tell lucas how she feels about him and kept telling lucas to give peyton a chance....she just didn't know brooke and didn't realize that brooke was the best girl for lucas-- she THOUGHT she was being a good friend.

but the first time i saw life in a glass house....i was soooo mad at brooke. i thought she was a complete b*tch and couldn't stand her. but now rewatching the episode and knowing her character and understanding why she acted that way---- i see her completely differently. but still- when she read haley's note to nathan aloud just because she felt like messing with them....it was soooo messed up! she completely redeemed herself in the next episode, but in 1.07 brooke annoyed me so much for causing problems between naley! which is hard for me to admit since brooke is not only my favorite OTH character but one of my favorite tv characters ever

Tricky-Brooke definitely was a bitch in 1x07 trying to mess with Naley...and I know I should pick that instead...
BUUTTT Haley didnt really give Brooke a chance in my opinion. She was being judgemental. Sure, she was trying to be a good friend, but at leat give Brooke a chance.

I agree with Sarah. Brooke is a major bitch back then, it wasn't a surprise at all. But what irks me about Haley is that she knows LP did something wrong that's why she got into a fight with Lucas. Peyton was being supportive of her and trying to get her to go visit Lucas and suddenly it's OK. She knows what it's like to need Lucas in one's life, well hello Haley, fact is, Brooke just might love and care for Lucas more than Peyton does. I get so angry when thinking about this, see I'm not a Haley fan and I only started liking her in s3.

I'm a huge Haley fan, but I have to say she annoyed me the most. Because, yeah, Brooke was a b**** to Haley and Nathan, but I understand it now knowing Brooke's charecter. But I am NOT a Peyton fan, and the fact that Haley took her side and didn't even give Brooke a chance always annoyed me.

i wanted to slap her even though i love her :D

I'm so glad Brooke and Haley are friends now.
