Booth was looking 앞으로 to this week with his son, Parker. It was the first time in a long while that he will have him for 더 많이 than just a few days. Rebecca had planned to be gone for a week and had asked him to take Parker for the whole week during the school’s spring break. Booth took this opportunity to plan a fishing trip with his son and to take along his grandfather, Hank. He was going to take his son where his grandfather had taken him fishing as a boy. He even had rented the 선실, 캐빈 they used to go to on the lake.
He knew that 본즈 would be examining some ancient 본즈 this week and that they had no cases to work on. He would miss her but she probably would not enjoy a fishing trip. Friday morning he picked up his grandfather from the nursing 집 and was going to take him to his apartment and then he was going to pick up Parker from school. But Hank asked if he could go visit Temperance, because he wanted to see her again.
Booth took him to visit 본즈 at the Jeffersonian while he went to go get Parker. Hank gave Brennan a big hug on seeing her again and asked how everything was going. He said he was looking 앞으로 to this weeks visit with his grandson and great grandson. He asked. “Temperance, why are 당신 not coming with us? It would be so much fun if 당신 would come with Seeley and Parker. We are all going to the lake where I taught Seeley how to fish.”
“Hank, I had planned on examining some ancient remains that were found in Outer Mongolia and besides this is a trip that Booth has planned for 당신 and Parker.”
“Temperance, those old 본즈 can wait and besides this is going to be a family outing and I would like 당신 to come. I know Seeley would like it too if 당신 came.”
“Hank I’m sure that Booth has plans for 당신 and Parker and would not want me to be in the way.”
“Temperance 당신 could never be in the way and I am positive that Seeley would 사랑 당신 to come along.”
At that moment Booth came back in with Parker at his side.
“Granpops, dad says we are going to go fishing together.” Parker said as he ran to his great grandfather who was talking with Bones. Parker then turned to 본즈 and asked. “Bones isn’t it going to be fun with all of us fishing together?”
“Parker, I don’t think 본즈 would want to come because she has some old 본즈 to look at.” Booth told his son.
“Parker, I would like to go fishing with 당신 and Hank, besides those old 본즈 can wait.” 본즈 answered.
“Really Bones, 당신 would like to go fishing with us?” Booth asked with an astonished look..
“Good then it is settled. Temperance is going with us.” Hank added.
“OK Bones, I’ll be at your place early tomorrow morning because it is a two 시간 drive to the lake. We will be coming back 다음 Saturday so plan on taking clothes for a week. Do 당신 have any fishing gear?”
“No Booth I don’t have any fishing equipment because I have never been fishing before.”
“That’s OK I have some extra poles that I can bring.”
The 다음 morning Booth pulled up to Brennan’s apartment and she was already waiting for them in front. As Booth loaded her bag in the back of the car, he asked if she had brought some warm clothes because it does get cold in the mountains at night.
On the drive, Hank was telling stories about how he would show Seeley and his brother Jared how to fish. He went on to say that it was Jared who seemed to always catch the biggest fish, but he knew that Jared would always take the biggest 물고기 that Seeley caught and throw it back into the lake. Seeley was always looking out for his little brother and never said a word.
본즈 asked. “What do we do with the 물고기 we catch?”
“Bones we eat them.” Booth answered, but before she could say another word he added. “I also picked up some tofu burgers and hotdogs along with fresh 과일 and vegetables for you. 당신 can throw your 물고기 back in the lake if 당신 catch anything.”
“Booth, thank you.” 본즈 said with a look of appreciation because he knew she did not eat meat.
It seems that in no time at all they were pulling up in front of 선실, 캐빈 의해 the lake. As Booth got out of the car he looked around because it had been some time since he had been here. He was just a boy then.
Hank got out of the car after Booth and said. “Shrimp it is exactly the way I remember it was. Let’s get everything inside and go check out the lake.”
“Pops 당신 go ahead and check out the lake with 본즈 and Parker and I will unload the car.”
As Booth was putting things into the cabin, he looked around at the 선실, 캐빈 and noted that it seemed smaller now. After everything was out of the car, he parked it in the shed and joined everyone at the lake front.
“Dad, can we go in the 보트 and go fishing now?”
“Parker let’s make sure the 보트 is 안전한, 안전 because it doesn’t look like anyone has used it in awhile.” Booth answered.
After Booth made sure the 보트 was safe, he loaded it with some fishing gear and put Parker in the boat. He then turned to Bones. She said. “You two go out first I’ll stay here with Hank in case the 보트 sinks.”
As Booth took his son out onto the lake, Brennan and Hank went to the 선실, 캐빈 and sat down in the chairs on the porch and watched them fish. Hank leaned over to Temperance and told her. “That is exactly how I used to do with Seeley and Jared. It is so good to see Seeley with Parker doing things as a father and son should be doing things. Seeley is a great father. Temperance I am glad 당신 came with us.”
“Thanks Hank, I’m glad 당신 asked me to come.”
After a few hours Booth rowed the 보트 back to 육지, 쇼 어 and Parker came running to Hank and Brennan. He was all excited. His words came out so fast it was almost impossible to understand what he was saying.
“Granpops I caught a 물고기 and it was so big.”
“Where is it?” Hank asked
“He threw it back in because he said that 본즈 would want him to.” Booth answered as he came up behind Parker.
“Parker that was wonderful what 당신 did for the fish.” 본즈 said.
“Hey is everyone ready for grilled cheese sandwiches.” Hank asked.
They all said yes in unison as 의해 now they were all hungry. Booth went to start the 불, 화재 in the fireplace while Brennan and Parker set up the 표, 테이블 and Hank was at the stove preparing dinner. As soon as everyone was satisfied, they all sat around the fireplace and roasted marshmallows. As the night wore on Parker was getting sleepy and Hank said that he also was getting tired and tomorrow is another day.
Hank grabbed his bag and Parker’s bag and headed for one of the two bedrooms saying “Hey Parker 당신 want the 상단, 맨 위로 bunk?”
“Pops what about the other bedroom?”
“Oh that’s for 당신 and Temperance.”
“There is only one 침대 in there.” Booth said with a sheepish look.
“It’s a double bed, plenty of room for two people.”
“Wait a 분 Pops.”
“NO 당신 wait. Each room should have two people.’
“Dad I want to sleep in the 상단, 맨 위로 bunk.”
“Well 본즈 can sleep in the bottom.” Booth interjected.
“There is no way that 당신 and I will fit into that double bed, Shrimp. We are both to big.” Hank added.
“Dad I want to sleep in the same room with Granpops. Besides boyfriends and girlfriends sleep together. That’s what Mommy says.”
“Parker, I’m not your father’s girlfriend.” 본즈 stated.
“Bones aren’t 당신 and my dad friends?” Parker asked.
Booth looked at 본즈 when she answered. “Well, yes.”
“And aren’t 당신 a girl and he’s a boy? Then 당신 are boyfriend and girlfriend.” Parker said as he headed to the bedroom.
Hank quickly followed Parker saying. “Good night 당신 two”
“Bones, 당신 take the 침대 I’ll sleep on the floor in here.”
“Booth, 당신 will throw your back out. We can share the bed. Besides we did it before in Las Vegas and again when we went undercover at the circus. 당신 must admire Parker’s deductive reasoning, it was very succinct.”
본즈 then grabbed her bag and headed for the bedroom. Booth followed her. That night Booth made sure that he kept his back to 본즈 and slept near the edge of the 침대 so as not to crowd her.
The 다음 일 after breakfast, Hank took Parker out in the 보트 while Booth was trying to show 본즈 how to put the bait on the hook and then cast the line into the lake.
As she was attempting to cast her line, she 라푼젤 it first in a 나무, 트리 overhead and then it got caught on a 부시, 부시 대통령은 behind her. On her third try she felt the hook catch on something and as she pulled she heard Booth yell. “Bones don’t yank.” She quickly turned and looked at Booth and saw that the hook was lodged in Booth’s butt.
본즈 dropped the fishing pole and came to Booths aide. She pulled the hook out and started to unzip his jeans.
“Bones what are 당신 doing?”
“Booth I just want to make sure that the hook did not pierce your skin because it could cause an infection.”
“Bones, Parker and Pops are right out there in the 보트 and can see us.”
“Sorry Booth, I just want to make sure 당신 are all right.”
“It’s OK Let’s just go inside the house.”
Hank who was watching Booth and 본즈 smiled as he saw Temperance trying to undo Seeley’s pants. He then watched the two of them go into the house and said to himself that he had better keep Parker out here until they come out of the house.
Inside the house, 본즈 asked Booth to remove his pants so she could check.
“Really 본즈 it is just a scratch. I’m fine.”
“Booth please let me put some antiseptic on it to be sure.”
“All right if it will make 당신 feel better.” He knew that there was no point in arguing with her. He then removed his pants and lay on the 침대 in his briefs face down so she could tend to the scratch.
본즈 pulled his briefs down a little until she saw where the hook had entered his buttock and she then applied alcohol to the area to clean it. She then applied iodine to the scratch and she could tell that it stung because of the way Booth’s gluteus maximus tightened. At that moment she could not restrain herself, she chided him 의해 saying. “There 당신 go it wasn’t so bad was it?”
As if the sting of the iodine wasn’t enough, but to be talked to like a little kid. Booth then grabbed 본즈 and pulled her onto the bed.
본즈 twisted out of his grasp, grabbed a blanket and threw it over Booth’s head and pushed him wrapped in the blanket off the bed. Booth hit the floor with a thud and laid there not moving. 본즈 looked over the side of the 침대 and saw that Booth’s eyes were shut and he looked unconscious. She rushed to his side and cradled his head in her hands as she said. “Booth, can 당신 hear me.”
Booth let out a low moan and 본즈 pulled him closer to her face. In a 스플릿, 분할 초 he had his arms wrapped around her, rolled over and pinned her to the floor.
“Booth 당신 frightened me I thought 당신 were hurt.” 본즈 said with a slight upset feeling in her voice.
Booth’s face was moving closer towards 본즈 as he was saying “Bones, I have to tell you……Before he could finish the sentence, they heard Parker calling from the boat. They quickly disentangled themselves and Booth grabbed a pair of pants while 본즈 threw the blanket on the bed. They then both rushed outside to see what Parker was yelling about. As they reached the 육지, 쇼 어 they saw Hank rowing the 보트 back towards them and Parker was lifting a very large wriggling 물고기 on a hook.
When the 보트 reached the 육지, 쇼 어 Parker ran to show them what he had caught. Booth took a look and said. “Parker that’s a pretty big 물고기 당신 caught.”
“Yes, I just wanted 당신 and 본즈 to see it before I put it back in the water.”
“You don’t want to eat it?” Booth asked.
“Oh no Dad, I don’t want to eat the fish. 본즈 come with me to toss it back.”
As Parker and 본즈 went to the lake to throw the 물고기 back in, Hank turned to Booth and asked. “What were 당신 and Temperance doing while we were in the boat?”
“Nothing Pops; I was just showing her how to fish.”
“Inside the cabin?” Hank asked with raised eyebrows.
Booth was just going to explain when 본즈 and Parker returned from the lake.
In order to change the subject, Booth asked. “Is everyone hungry?”
While Booth prepared the barbeque for the hamburgers, 본즈 set the 표, 테이블 and Parker went to take a bath. Hank went in to check on Parker, but as he passed the bedroom he peeked inside and saw the 침대 a complete mess.
As the night wore on Hank said he and Parker were going to 침대 leaving Booth and 본즈 alone. 본즈 turned to Booth and said she was going to make the 침대 because it was a mess from the afternoon. Booth said he would clean up the kitchen.
Meanwhile, Hank and Parker were getting ready for 침대 when Hank said to Parker.
“Parker shouldn’t 당신 go and tell your dad and Temperance good night.”
“Yes and I’ll tell them how much fun I’m having, Granpops.”
Parker then went to Booth’s and Brennan’s room. He knocked on the door and asked if he could come in. 본즈 was already in 침대 and his father was sitting on the edge of the bed.
“I just wanted to say good night and tell 당신 this is the best family vacation ever. Dad, maybe this summer we can all go on another vacation together.”
“Parker, I’ll have to ask your mother but maybe we can.” Booth answered.
“Oh that would be great you, me, 본즈 and Grandpops all together.”
“Parker it’s time for 당신 to be in bed.” Booth said as he took his son back to his room. Booth made sure that Parker was well covered and he saw that Pops was sound asleep already before he went back to his room with Bones.
As he came into the room, he saw that 본즈 had something on her mind. He asked “What are 당신 thinking about, Bones?”
“I was thinking about summer. Do 당신 think Rebecca will let 당신 have Parker for another vacation?”
“Well 본즈 I have to ask her why?”
“Well if she agrees maybe we can take Parker someplace special.”
Booth looked at her and said. “Bones you’re enjoying this vacation aren’t you.”
“Yes Booth I am.” She answered as she snuggled down under the covers.
They woke up when they heard knocking on the door and Hank saying breakfast is getting cold and he and Parker are going outside. All of a sudden Parker rushes into the room to say good morning. He ran to his father, hugged him and said 사랑 당신 and then he went to 본즈 wrapped his arms around her neck, kissed her cheek and said 사랑 당신 before he raced out the door again.
Booth glanced at 본즈 and saw the look of astonishment. She turned to him and said. “Booth, did 당신 see. Parker gave me a 키스 and a hug.”
“Yes 본즈 I saw.” Booth said as he laid back propped up on his pillow.
본즈 looked at Booth and saw him smiling at her. It was like he was telling her that this is what it is like having a child. That having a child is like having someone who will always 사랑 you.
“Booth I think we need to get up and 가입하기 them outside.”
“OK Bones, 당신 go first to the bathroom and get dressed and I’ll get dressed in here.” He said that so she would leave the room and not notice that he was up already.
As they came out of the 선실, 캐빈 they saw Hank and Parker fishing from the shore. They both walked over and as they came near, Hank said that Parker wanted to stay with Temperance today and that he and Seeley should go out in the 보트 like old times.
Booth said sure it would be fun to 물고기 with Pops and he could see that 본즈 liked the idea of spending time with Parker.
본즈 asked Parker what he wanted to do when they were alone on the shore.
Parker said. “Bones I wanted to ask 당신 if 당신 could help me with a school project that is due after the spring break.”
“Parker, wouldn’t 당신 want your father 또는 mother to help you?”
“Bones, daddy says 당신 are the smartest person he knows and that 당신 know everything. I need to do a good 신고 because I want to make my dad proud of me.”
“Parker your father is very proud of you.”
“Yes, but I still would like your help, please.”
“All right, what is this 신고 about?”
“Well I have to write it about my dad and what he does.”
Out in the 보트 Hank was talking to Booth about how great it was that Temperance was spending time with Parker and that she would make a great wife and mother.
“Pops I know but 본즈 does not believe in marriage and as to a child that is a long story.”
“Shrimp we have nothing but time out here.”
While they fished, Booth related the story of how 본즈 wanted a baby and then changed her mind when he said he wanted to be involved.
Meanwhile on shore, 본즈 and Parker were talking about Booth and what he does. Parker kept talking about how great it is to be with his dad and he wished that sometimes he could be with him all the time, but he knew that what he and 본즈 did was very important. Together they worked on Parker’s 신고 and 본즈 was moved 의해 how much Parker loved his dad. They also spent part of the 일 exploring the area around the cabin.
That night after 공식 만찬, 저녁 식사 they all played twister. Hank was the one on the spinner and as soon as it was just Seeley and Temperance he made sure that they got all 라푼젤 up together.
As everyone was going to bed, Booth went outside to gather 더 많이 firewood for the 불, 화재 because the nights were getting colder. When he came back into the 선실, 캐빈 he checked on Parker and Hank to make sure that they were warm. He then went to his room with Bones. As Booth slid beneath the covers he thought of how much he loved this woman 다음 to him but she does not even suspect despite all of her intelligence.
본즈 meanwhile was thinking about her 일 with Parker and how much fun it was exploring. She then felt Booth’s feet touch the back of her legs. She wanted to pull her legs away but his feet were cold from going outside and needed to be warmed up, besides he was already sound asleep. She could hear his rhythmic breathing and it sounded like a soothing lullaby in her ears. Soon she herself was contentedly asleep.
The 다음 morning she woke to the sound of Parker and Hank in the kitchen. She was nestled 다음 to Booth who was still asleep. Everything was so perfect she did not want to get up and disturb this idyllic morning. She closed her eyes to embrace this pleasure she has never experienced before.
A few 분 later she felt Booth starting to stir but she kept her eyes closed and let him think she was still asleep. She felt his body 옮기기 quietly out of the 침대 and then she felt his lips 키스 her forehead as he said in a whisper. “Good morning beautiful, I 사랑 you.”
She could not believe her ears. Did Booth just say he loved me? No I must have misunderstood.
She stayed in 침대 for a few 분 longer thinking about what to do next. She thought if Booth really loves me why hasn’t he said anything before 또는 maybe he had and I was not listening. Well he did say he loved me as his partner, maybe that’s what he meant.
Besides she and Booth were going out in the 보트 together and she was determined to talk to him about something important. After spending time with Parker she had realized that she wanted to have a baby with Booth as the father and he should be involved.
Booth was rowing the 보트 away from 육지, 쇼 어 and she could see Hank and Parker fishing on the shore, when she blurted out. “Booth I want to have your baby.”
Booth looked at her with an expression of being struck 의해 a cement truck. He asked. “What did 당신 say? I thought I heard 당신 say 당신 want my baby.”
“That’s right. I have thought about it and I know now that I want to have a baby and I want 당신 to be the father, but this time I believe 당신 should be involved. I see how much Parker loves 당신 and what a good father 당신 are and I want that for my child as well. What do 당신 say?”
“Bones, are 당신 sure?”
“Booth, I have a number of valid particulars to support my decision. First I know that 당신 have will always be there for me and the baby. And 초 당신 will 사랑 the child as much as I will. These points in conjunction with your other valid attributes would be very beneficial for my child.”
Booth was just looking at her and watching her mouth move. He could not believe what he had just heard.
“Booth, say something.”
“Bones, so 당신 want to use my stuff to have a baby, but this time I can be involved as the father.”
“Yes”
“Bones let’s discuss this 더 많이 later. I need to think about it.”
“What’s there to think about?”
“Bones being a parent is a big responsibility.”
“Booth don’t 당신 think I can be a good mother.”
“Bones 당신 will be a great mother and I know 당신 will 사랑 the child. I just want to make absolutely sure that this is what 당신 want.”
“Booth after spending time with 당신 and Parker, I have realized that I have something missing in my life.”
“All right 본즈 if this is really what 당신 want and 당신 are absolutely sure about it.”
“Thank 당신 Booth.” 본즈 said as she threw her arms around him in a hug.
Hank who was watching them from 육지, 쇼 어 had seen them talking and saw that the 보트 almost overturned when Temperance hugged Seeley. He was sure that 새우 had finally said something to Temperance about how he loved her.
Booth rowed the 보트 back to 육지, 쇼 어 because there was no way he could 물고기 right now and 본즈 was too excited about the idea of having a baby she is not interested in fishing.
As they arrived back on shore, Hank saw that Seeley was in deep thought and that Temperance was extremely happy. He did not want to ask but he was curious as to what happened in the boat.
As they came near, Hank said. “How about an early dinner? As it is starting to get colder, 새우 and I will get some 더 많이 firewood while Temperance 당신 promised to make your mac and cheese tonight.
While they gathered the wood, Hank could not help but ask what happened in the boat.
Booth looked at his Pops and explained that 본즈 was back to wanting a baby. Pops asked. “Did 당신 tell her how 당신 feel about her?”
“Pops she doesn’t 사랑 me and if I tell her how I feel she will push me away.”
“Well 새우 I’m not going to interfere, but I think she needs to know.”
“Pops let me handle this, but thanks anyway.”
After 공식 만찬, 저녁 식사 Hank asked Temperance to 가입하기 him on the porch to watch the sunset. Parker had gone to take his bath and Booth was cleaning the kitchen.
“Temperance 당신 and Seeley did not do much fishing today.”
“No but we had a good time out in the boat.”
Just then Booth came out of the 선실, 캐빈 and asked. “What have 당신 too been talking about?”
“Nothing in particular 새우 we were just enjoying the sunset. Sit down I’ll go check on Parker and make sure he is in bed.”
“Thanks Pops.” Booth sat down 다음 to 본즈 and they just looked at the setting sun over the lake.
본즈 was remembering what Angela had said to her once about enjoying a beautiful sunset with someone 당신 love. She looked at Booth and then the sunset and noticed that this was the most spectacular sunset she has ever seen.
As the sun went below the horizon, the night air was getting chilly. 본즈 shivered a little and Booth put his arm around her to keep her warm.
“I think we had better go in before 당신 catch a cold, Bones.”
The 다음 day, Parker wanted to do 더 많이 exploring with 본즈 while Booth and Hank fished from the shore.
While they walked Parker was telling 본즈 about how all his 프렌즈 had brothers and sisters and that he would like someday to have a little brother. 본즈 was a little surprised and didn’t see a branch in the path. She caught her ankle and fell down into a small creek. She tried to stand up but her ankle was badly sprained and she could not walk. Parker said. “Stay here 본즈 I’ll go get my dad.”
As Parker ran to his dad, he was yelling. “Dad, 본즈 is hurt. 당신 need to come right away.”
Booth quickly dropped his fishing gear and followed Parker to where 본즈 was.. He lifted her off the ground and started to carry her back to the 선실, 캐빈 when she insisted that he put her down. She tried to walk but the pain in her ankle was too much and she almost fell again. Booth quickly scooped her back into his arms before she could protest. Back at the cabin, Booth suggested that they go into town and have her ankle looked at to make sure it was not broken, but 본즈 said it was not necessary as she knew that it was only a bad sprain and just needed to give it some rest.
After dinner, they all sat around and when it was time to go to bed. Booth carried 본즈 into the bedroom and made sure she was comfortable. He even put his 베개 under her ankle to ease the pain.
The 다음 morning, the swelling had gone down put her ankle was still a little sore so 본즈 decided to just sit on the porch and rest her ankle. Hank said he would keep Temperance company while Parker and 새우 explored the woods.
Hank and Temperance were playing dominoes and enjoying each others company, when Hank asked Temperance if she ever thought of having children. She did not know that Booth had already told him that she wanted a baby and how she planned on getting pregnant.
“Well I have given it some thought and I am thinking about it.” 본즈 answered.
“Yes but first 당신 must find a man who will make a good husband and father.”
“Oh I don’t want to get married. I just want to have a baby.”
Hank responded. “I guess I will never understand the younger generation. Everyone is too much in a hurry to notice things 또는 enjoy the experience of life. In my day, 당신 found the right person to love, marry and raise a family with.”
“Artificial insemination is very common today.” Temperance answered.
“I guess so but think about if the doctor makes a mistake. It has been known to happen, there was a lady in England who gave birth to twins and one was black and the other was white. It seems that the doctor had used the wrong sperm. 또는 what about that doctor who used his own on his patients and not what the women expected. Just give me the old fashion way of making 아기 that way there can be no mistake who is the father.”
“Hank I’m sure those are unusual cases. Besides I have already picked out the father for my child.”
“Oh 당신 have.”
“Yes, the father of my baby is going to be ………………” Just as she was going to tell Hank that Booth is going to be the father, Parker and Booth came back to the cabin.
That night 본즈 was having a very restless night of sleep. She kept tossing and turning. She was even muttering in her sleep.
The 다음 morning Booth asked her about it. “Bones what was bothering you? 당신 kept tossing all night.”
“Oh I just had a bad dream but nothing to worry about.” She answered. She didn’t want to tell Booth that she had a bad dream about having a child.
That 일 they all took turns fishing in the 보트 as it was their last 일 at the lake. 본즈 finally caught a fish. She could not believe it nor could Booth.
As everyone was settling in for the night, 본즈 kept thinking about what Hank had said about what if she is given the wrong sperm and it is not Booth’s baby but someone else. That night she dreamt that she had been given Howard Epps’ sperm and it was his child. In her dream she was crying out for Booth and hitting her doctor.
She woke up when she felt Booth’s arms encircling her and hearing Booth’s voice trying to calm her down.
“Bones what’s wrong you’re screaming in your sleep.”
“Booth it was such a terrible dream.” They both were sitting up now.
“What was it?”
“I was dreaming I was having someone else’s baby and not yours.”
“Bones, how could there be a mistake like that. They have my stuff and everything will be all right.”
“Booth, maybe Hank is right.”
“What are 당신 talking about?”
“He said that the only way 당신 can be certain that 당신 are getting the right semen is 의해 making a baby the old fashioned way.”
“Bones, what are 당신 saying?”
“Booth, it’s about having sexual intercourse.”
“Bones, it’s not just about having sex. It should be about making love.”
Booth could feel her starting to pull away from him when he said love. He did not want to let her go but did not know what else to do so he released her from his embrace. She slowly turned her back to him as she lay back down on the bed. Before his head reached his 베개 he saw her shoulders shudder. He placed his hand on her shoulder and gently turned her around so he could see her face. What he saw were very moist eyes, eyes that were on the verge of tears.
“Bones talk to me.”
“Booth I know 당신 said 당신 loved me as your partner, but …….” She hesitated in what she wanted to say. She was afraid that Booth did not 사랑 her any other way and if she told him she loved him he would leave as others have done in the past. As she looked at Booth’s face, she remembered what Hank had said about not being afraid.
“Booth I don’t know if 당신 could 사랑 me other than as a partner, but I have to tell 당신 I 사랑 당신 not as a partner but as a man. A man I want to be the father of my children.” 본즈 watched Booth’s face as she said this. She was waiting to see what would be the response.
Booth could not believe his ears. 본즈 just said she loved him as a man and she wanted his children. Booth released his hand from her shoulder and moved it to her chin. He tilted her head to look at him in the face while he said. “Bones I 사랑 당신 and I want to be with 당신 the rest of my life.”
Slowly both their faces moved closer and as their lips touched they both knew how much they loved each other. As the night wore on, they consummated that 사랑 several times over.
That night in the other bedroom, Hank awoke where he heard Temperance cry out. He lay there listening to the muffled voices in the 다음 room. He could not hear what they were saying but he was hoping that 새우 would finally tell her that he loved her and that she would not be afraid of telling him she loved him. He had known for some time how much they loved each other. Finally the voices stopped, and then he heard the sound that put a smile on his old face. The rhythmic groan of that old 침대 was 음악 to his ears.
The 다음 일 they were returning home. Hank noticed how happy Temperance looked and as he helped 새우 load the car he could not help but ask. “Did 당신 finally tell Temperance how 당신 feel about her?”
“Yes Pops I told her last night.” Booth answered.
“I figured that because she looks so happy and satisfied this morning.” Hank said with a smile.
Booth just gave him a quizzical look. Hank ignored him as he went to talk with Temperance.
“Temperance how was the fishing vacation?”
“Hank I want to thank 당신 for everything.”
“All I did was inviting 당신 to come along.”
“That and that 당신 told me not to be afraid.”
“By the way about the baby you’re planning on having, 당신 never did say who was going to be the father.”
“Hank I think 당신 already know.”
At that point Parker came running up from the lake. He was excited on showing something to Temperance.
“Bones look does this look like an arrowhead?”
“Yes it does Parker.”
Parker then ran to show his dad.
As they got ready to finally leave, Booth took one quick look around to make sure they had not left anything behind. He saw that Parker and Pops were already in the car. He saw 본즈 looking out over the lake. He walked up behind her and wrapped his arms around her. “What are 당신 thinking Bones?”
“Booth I was thinking about how my life would have been had I never met 당신 and how sad and empty it would be.”
Booth pulled her closer to him and said “Come on 본즈 let’s go home.”
He knew that 본즈 would be examining some ancient 본즈 this week and that they had no cases to work on. He would miss her but she probably would not enjoy a fishing trip. Friday morning he picked up his grandfather from the nursing 집 and was going to take him to his apartment and then he was going to pick up Parker from school. But Hank asked if he could go visit Temperance, because he wanted to see her again.
Booth took him to visit 본즈 at the Jeffersonian while he went to go get Parker. Hank gave Brennan a big hug on seeing her again and asked how everything was going. He said he was looking 앞으로 to this weeks visit with his grandson and great grandson. He asked. “Temperance, why are 당신 not coming with us? It would be so much fun if 당신 would come with Seeley and Parker. We are all going to the lake where I taught Seeley how to fish.”
“Hank, I had planned on examining some ancient remains that were found in Outer Mongolia and besides this is a trip that Booth has planned for 당신 and Parker.”
“Temperance, those old 본즈 can wait and besides this is going to be a family outing and I would like 당신 to come. I know Seeley would like it too if 당신 came.”
“Hank I’m sure that Booth has plans for 당신 and Parker and would not want me to be in the way.”
“Temperance 당신 could never be in the way and I am positive that Seeley would 사랑 당신 to come along.”
At that moment Booth came back in with Parker at his side.
“Granpops, dad says we are going to go fishing together.” Parker said as he ran to his great grandfather who was talking with Bones. Parker then turned to 본즈 and asked. “Bones isn’t it going to be fun with all of us fishing together?”
“Parker, I don’t think 본즈 would want to come because she has some old 본즈 to look at.” Booth told his son.
“Parker, I would like to go fishing with 당신 and Hank, besides those old 본즈 can wait.” 본즈 answered.
“Really Bones, 당신 would like to go fishing with us?” Booth asked with an astonished look..
“Good then it is settled. Temperance is going with us.” Hank added.
“OK Bones, I’ll be at your place early tomorrow morning because it is a two 시간 drive to the lake. We will be coming back 다음 Saturday so plan on taking clothes for a week. Do 당신 have any fishing gear?”
“No Booth I don’t have any fishing equipment because I have never been fishing before.”
“That’s OK I have some extra poles that I can bring.”
The 다음 morning Booth pulled up to Brennan’s apartment and she was already waiting for them in front. As Booth loaded her bag in the back of the car, he asked if she had brought some warm clothes because it does get cold in the mountains at night.
On the drive, Hank was telling stories about how he would show Seeley and his brother Jared how to fish. He went on to say that it was Jared who seemed to always catch the biggest fish, but he knew that Jared would always take the biggest 물고기 that Seeley caught and throw it back into the lake. Seeley was always looking out for his little brother and never said a word.
본즈 asked. “What do we do with the 물고기 we catch?”
“Bones we eat them.” Booth answered, but before she could say another word he added. “I also picked up some tofu burgers and hotdogs along with fresh 과일 and vegetables for you. 당신 can throw your 물고기 back in the lake if 당신 catch anything.”
“Booth, thank you.” 본즈 said with a look of appreciation because he knew she did not eat meat.
It seems that in no time at all they were pulling up in front of 선실, 캐빈 의해 the lake. As Booth got out of the car he looked around because it had been some time since he had been here. He was just a boy then.
Hank got out of the car after Booth and said. “Shrimp it is exactly the way I remember it was. Let’s get everything inside and go check out the lake.”
“Pops 당신 go ahead and check out the lake with 본즈 and Parker and I will unload the car.”
As Booth was putting things into the cabin, he looked around at the 선실, 캐빈 and noted that it seemed smaller now. After everything was out of the car, he parked it in the shed and joined everyone at the lake front.
“Dad, can we go in the 보트 and go fishing now?”
“Parker let’s make sure the 보트 is 안전한, 안전 because it doesn’t look like anyone has used it in awhile.” Booth answered.
After Booth made sure the 보트 was safe, he loaded it with some fishing gear and put Parker in the boat. He then turned to Bones. She said. “You two go out first I’ll stay here with Hank in case the 보트 sinks.”
As Booth took his son out onto the lake, Brennan and Hank went to the 선실, 캐빈 and sat down in the chairs on the porch and watched them fish. Hank leaned over to Temperance and told her. “That is exactly how I used to do with Seeley and Jared. It is so good to see Seeley with Parker doing things as a father and son should be doing things. Seeley is a great father. Temperance I am glad 당신 came with us.”
“Thanks Hank, I’m glad 당신 asked me to come.”
After a few hours Booth rowed the 보트 back to 육지, 쇼 어 and Parker came running to Hank and Brennan. He was all excited. His words came out so fast it was almost impossible to understand what he was saying.
“Granpops I caught a 물고기 and it was so big.”
“Where is it?” Hank asked
“He threw it back in because he said that 본즈 would want him to.” Booth answered as he came up behind Parker.
“Parker that was wonderful what 당신 did for the fish.” 본즈 said.
“Hey is everyone ready for grilled cheese sandwiches.” Hank asked.
They all said yes in unison as 의해 now they were all hungry. Booth went to start the 불, 화재 in the fireplace while Brennan and Parker set up the 표, 테이블 and Hank was at the stove preparing dinner. As soon as everyone was satisfied, they all sat around the fireplace and roasted marshmallows. As the night wore on Parker was getting sleepy and Hank said that he also was getting tired and tomorrow is another day.
Hank grabbed his bag and Parker’s bag and headed for one of the two bedrooms saying “Hey Parker 당신 want the 상단, 맨 위로 bunk?”
“Pops what about the other bedroom?”
“Oh that’s for 당신 and Temperance.”
“There is only one 침대 in there.” Booth said with a sheepish look.
“It’s a double bed, plenty of room for two people.”
“Wait a 분 Pops.”
“NO 당신 wait. Each room should have two people.’
“Dad I want to sleep in the 상단, 맨 위로 bunk.”
“Well 본즈 can sleep in the bottom.” Booth interjected.
“There is no way that 당신 and I will fit into that double bed, Shrimp. We are both to big.” Hank added.
“Dad I want to sleep in the same room with Granpops. Besides boyfriends and girlfriends sleep together. That’s what Mommy says.”
“Parker, I’m not your father’s girlfriend.” 본즈 stated.
“Bones aren’t 당신 and my dad friends?” Parker asked.
Booth looked at 본즈 when she answered. “Well, yes.”
“And aren’t 당신 a girl and he’s a boy? Then 당신 are boyfriend and girlfriend.” Parker said as he headed to the bedroom.
Hank quickly followed Parker saying. “Good night 당신 two”
“Bones, 당신 take the 침대 I’ll sleep on the floor in here.”
“Booth, 당신 will throw your back out. We can share the bed. Besides we did it before in Las Vegas and again when we went undercover at the circus. 당신 must admire Parker’s deductive reasoning, it was very succinct.”
본즈 then grabbed her bag and headed for the bedroom. Booth followed her. That night Booth made sure that he kept his back to 본즈 and slept near the edge of the 침대 so as not to crowd her.
The 다음 일 after breakfast, Hank took Parker out in the 보트 while Booth was trying to show 본즈 how to put the bait on the hook and then cast the line into the lake.
As she was attempting to cast her line, she 라푼젤 it first in a 나무, 트리 overhead and then it got caught on a 부시, 부시 대통령은 behind her. On her third try she felt the hook catch on something and as she pulled she heard Booth yell. “Bones don’t yank.” She quickly turned and looked at Booth and saw that the hook was lodged in Booth’s butt.
본즈 dropped the fishing pole and came to Booths aide. She pulled the hook out and started to unzip his jeans.
“Bones what are 당신 doing?”
“Booth I just want to make sure that the hook did not pierce your skin because it could cause an infection.”
“Bones, Parker and Pops are right out there in the 보트 and can see us.”
“Sorry Booth, I just want to make sure 당신 are all right.”
“It’s OK Let’s just go inside the house.”
Hank who was watching Booth and 본즈 smiled as he saw Temperance trying to undo Seeley’s pants. He then watched the two of them go into the house and said to himself that he had better keep Parker out here until they come out of the house.
Inside the house, 본즈 asked Booth to remove his pants so she could check.
“Really 본즈 it is just a scratch. I’m fine.”
“Booth please let me put some antiseptic on it to be sure.”
“All right if it will make 당신 feel better.” He knew that there was no point in arguing with her. He then removed his pants and lay on the 침대 in his briefs face down so she could tend to the scratch.
본즈 pulled his briefs down a little until she saw where the hook had entered his buttock and she then applied alcohol to the area to clean it. She then applied iodine to the scratch and she could tell that it stung because of the way Booth’s gluteus maximus tightened. At that moment she could not restrain herself, she chided him 의해 saying. “There 당신 go it wasn’t so bad was it?”
As if the sting of the iodine wasn’t enough, but to be talked to like a little kid. Booth then grabbed 본즈 and pulled her onto the bed.
본즈 twisted out of his grasp, grabbed a blanket and threw it over Booth’s head and pushed him wrapped in the blanket off the bed. Booth hit the floor with a thud and laid there not moving. 본즈 looked over the side of the 침대 and saw that Booth’s eyes were shut and he looked unconscious. She rushed to his side and cradled his head in her hands as she said. “Booth, can 당신 hear me.”
Booth let out a low moan and 본즈 pulled him closer to her face. In a 스플릿, 분할 초 he had his arms wrapped around her, rolled over and pinned her to the floor.
“Booth 당신 frightened me I thought 당신 were hurt.” 본즈 said with a slight upset feeling in her voice.
Booth’s face was moving closer towards 본즈 as he was saying “Bones, I have to tell you……Before he could finish the sentence, they heard Parker calling from the boat. They quickly disentangled themselves and Booth grabbed a pair of pants while 본즈 threw the blanket on the bed. They then both rushed outside to see what Parker was yelling about. As they reached the 육지, 쇼 어 they saw Hank rowing the 보트 back towards them and Parker was lifting a very large wriggling 물고기 on a hook.
When the 보트 reached the 육지, 쇼 어 Parker ran to show them what he had caught. Booth took a look and said. “Parker that’s a pretty big 물고기 당신 caught.”
“Yes, I just wanted 당신 and 본즈 to see it before I put it back in the water.”
“You don’t want to eat it?” Booth asked.
“Oh no Dad, I don’t want to eat the fish. 본즈 come with me to toss it back.”
As Parker and 본즈 went to the lake to throw the 물고기 back in, Hank turned to Booth and asked. “What were 당신 and Temperance doing while we were in the boat?”
“Nothing Pops; I was just showing her how to fish.”
“Inside the cabin?” Hank asked with raised eyebrows.
Booth was just going to explain when 본즈 and Parker returned from the lake.
In order to change the subject, Booth asked. “Is everyone hungry?”
While Booth prepared the barbeque for the hamburgers, 본즈 set the 표, 테이블 and Parker went to take a bath. Hank went in to check on Parker, but as he passed the bedroom he peeked inside and saw the 침대 a complete mess.
As the night wore on Hank said he and Parker were going to 침대 leaving Booth and 본즈 alone. 본즈 turned to Booth and said she was going to make the 침대 because it was a mess from the afternoon. Booth said he would clean up the kitchen.
Meanwhile, Hank and Parker were getting ready for 침대 when Hank said to Parker.
“Parker shouldn’t 당신 go and tell your dad and Temperance good night.”
“Yes and I’ll tell them how much fun I’m having, Granpops.”
Parker then went to Booth’s and Brennan’s room. He knocked on the door and asked if he could come in. 본즈 was already in 침대 and his father was sitting on the edge of the bed.
“I just wanted to say good night and tell 당신 this is the best family vacation ever. Dad, maybe this summer we can all go on another vacation together.”
“Parker, I’ll have to ask your mother but maybe we can.” Booth answered.
“Oh that would be great you, me, 본즈 and Grandpops all together.”
“Parker it’s time for 당신 to be in bed.” Booth said as he took his son back to his room. Booth made sure that Parker was well covered and he saw that Pops was sound asleep already before he went back to his room with Bones.
As he came into the room, he saw that 본즈 had something on her mind. He asked “What are 당신 thinking about, Bones?”
“I was thinking about summer. Do 당신 think Rebecca will let 당신 have Parker for another vacation?”
“Well 본즈 I have to ask her why?”
“Well if she agrees maybe we can take Parker someplace special.”
Booth looked at her and said. “Bones you’re enjoying this vacation aren’t you.”
“Yes Booth I am.” She answered as she snuggled down under the covers.
They woke up when they heard knocking on the door and Hank saying breakfast is getting cold and he and Parker are going outside. All of a sudden Parker rushes into the room to say good morning. He ran to his father, hugged him and said 사랑 당신 and then he went to 본즈 wrapped his arms around her neck, kissed her cheek and said 사랑 당신 before he raced out the door again.
Booth glanced at 본즈 and saw the look of astonishment. She turned to him and said. “Booth, did 당신 see. Parker gave me a 키스 and a hug.”
“Yes 본즈 I saw.” Booth said as he laid back propped up on his pillow.
본즈 looked at Booth and saw him smiling at her. It was like he was telling her that this is what it is like having a child. That having a child is like having someone who will always 사랑 you.
“Booth I think we need to get up and 가입하기 them outside.”
“OK Bones, 당신 go first to the bathroom and get dressed and I’ll get dressed in here.” He said that so she would leave the room and not notice that he was up already.
As they came out of the 선실, 캐빈 they saw Hank and Parker fishing from the shore. They both walked over and as they came near, Hank said that Parker wanted to stay with Temperance today and that he and Seeley should go out in the 보트 like old times.
Booth said sure it would be fun to 물고기 with Pops and he could see that 본즈 liked the idea of spending time with Parker.
본즈 asked Parker what he wanted to do when they were alone on the shore.
Parker said. “Bones I wanted to ask 당신 if 당신 could help me with a school project that is due after the spring break.”
“Parker, wouldn’t 당신 want your father 또는 mother to help you?”
“Bones, daddy says 당신 are the smartest person he knows and that 당신 know everything. I need to do a good 신고 because I want to make my dad proud of me.”
“Parker your father is very proud of you.”
“Yes, but I still would like your help, please.”
“All right, what is this 신고 about?”
“Well I have to write it about my dad and what he does.”
Out in the 보트 Hank was talking to Booth about how great it was that Temperance was spending time with Parker and that she would make a great wife and mother.
“Pops I know but 본즈 does not believe in marriage and as to a child that is a long story.”
“Shrimp we have nothing but time out here.”
While they fished, Booth related the story of how 본즈 wanted a baby and then changed her mind when he said he wanted to be involved.
Meanwhile on shore, 본즈 and Parker were talking about Booth and what he does. Parker kept talking about how great it is to be with his dad and he wished that sometimes he could be with him all the time, but he knew that what he and 본즈 did was very important. Together they worked on Parker’s 신고 and 본즈 was moved 의해 how much Parker loved his dad. They also spent part of the 일 exploring the area around the cabin.
That night after 공식 만찬, 저녁 식사 they all played twister. Hank was the one on the spinner and as soon as it was just Seeley and Temperance he made sure that they got all 라푼젤 up together.
As everyone was going to bed, Booth went outside to gather 더 많이 firewood for the 불, 화재 because the nights were getting colder. When he came back into the 선실, 캐빈 he checked on Parker and Hank to make sure that they were warm. He then went to his room with Bones. As Booth slid beneath the covers he thought of how much he loved this woman 다음 to him but she does not even suspect despite all of her intelligence.
본즈 meanwhile was thinking about her 일 with Parker and how much fun it was exploring. She then felt Booth’s feet touch the back of her legs. She wanted to pull her legs away but his feet were cold from going outside and needed to be warmed up, besides he was already sound asleep. She could hear his rhythmic breathing and it sounded like a soothing lullaby in her ears. Soon she herself was contentedly asleep.
The 다음 morning she woke to the sound of Parker and Hank in the kitchen. She was nestled 다음 to Booth who was still asleep. Everything was so perfect she did not want to get up and disturb this idyllic morning. She closed her eyes to embrace this pleasure she has never experienced before.
A few 분 later she felt Booth starting to stir but she kept her eyes closed and let him think she was still asleep. She felt his body 옮기기 quietly out of the 침대 and then she felt his lips 키스 her forehead as he said in a whisper. “Good morning beautiful, I 사랑 you.”
She could not believe her ears. Did Booth just say he loved me? No I must have misunderstood.
She stayed in 침대 for a few 분 longer thinking about what to do next. She thought if Booth really loves me why hasn’t he said anything before 또는 maybe he had and I was not listening. Well he did say he loved me as his partner, maybe that’s what he meant.
Besides she and Booth were going out in the 보트 together and she was determined to talk to him about something important. After spending time with Parker she had realized that she wanted to have a baby with Booth as the father and he should be involved.
Booth was rowing the 보트 away from 육지, 쇼 어 and she could see Hank and Parker fishing on the shore, when she blurted out. “Booth I want to have your baby.”
Booth looked at her with an expression of being struck 의해 a cement truck. He asked. “What did 당신 say? I thought I heard 당신 say 당신 want my baby.”
“That’s right. I have thought about it and I know now that I want to have a baby and I want 당신 to be the father, but this time I believe 당신 should be involved. I see how much Parker loves 당신 and what a good father 당신 are and I want that for my child as well. What do 당신 say?”
“Bones, are 당신 sure?”
“Booth, I have a number of valid particulars to support my decision. First I know that 당신 have will always be there for me and the baby. And 초 당신 will 사랑 the child as much as I will. These points in conjunction with your other valid attributes would be very beneficial for my child.”
Booth was just looking at her and watching her mouth move. He could not believe what he had just heard.
“Booth, say something.”
“Bones, so 당신 want to use my stuff to have a baby, but this time I can be involved as the father.”
“Yes”
“Bones let’s discuss this 더 많이 later. I need to think about it.”
“What’s there to think about?”
“Bones being a parent is a big responsibility.”
“Booth don’t 당신 think I can be a good mother.”
“Bones 당신 will be a great mother and I know 당신 will 사랑 the child. I just want to make absolutely sure that this is what 당신 want.”
“Booth after spending time with 당신 and Parker, I have realized that I have something missing in my life.”
“All right 본즈 if this is really what 당신 want and 당신 are absolutely sure about it.”
“Thank 당신 Booth.” 본즈 said as she threw her arms around him in a hug.
Hank who was watching them from 육지, 쇼 어 had seen them talking and saw that the 보트 almost overturned when Temperance hugged Seeley. He was sure that 새우 had finally said something to Temperance about how he loved her.
Booth rowed the 보트 back to 육지, 쇼 어 because there was no way he could 물고기 right now and 본즈 was too excited about the idea of having a baby she is not interested in fishing.
As they arrived back on shore, Hank saw that Seeley was in deep thought and that Temperance was extremely happy. He did not want to ask but he was curious as to what happened in the boat.
As they came near, Hank said. “How about an early dinner? As it is starting to get colder, 새우 and I will get some 더 많이 firewood while Temperance 당신 promised to make your mac and cheese tonight.
While they gathered the wood, Hank could not help but ask what happened in the boat.
Booth looked at his Pops and explained that 본즈 was back to wanting a baby. Pops asked. “Did 당신 tell her how 당신 feel about her?”
“Pops she doesn’t 사랑 me and if I tell her how I feel she will push me away.”
“Well 새우 I’m not going to interfere, but I think she needs to know.”
“Pops let me handle this, but thanks anyway.”
After 공식 만찬, 저녁 식사 Hank asked Temperance to 가입하기 him on the porch to watch the sunset. Parker had gone to take his bath and Booth was cleaning the kitchen.
“Temperance 당신 and Seeley did not do much fishing today.”
“No but we had a good time out in the boat.”
Just then Booth came out of the 선실, 캐빈 and asked. “What have 당신 too been talking about?”
“Nothing in particular 새우 we were just enjoying the sunset. Sit down I’ll go check on Parker and make sure he is in bed.”
“Thanks Pops.” Booth sat down 다음 to 본즈 and they just looked at the setting sun over the lake.
본즈 was remembering what Angela had said to her once about enjoying a beautiful sunset with someone 당신 love. She looked at Booth and then the sunset and noticed that this was the most spectacular sunset she has ever seen.
As the sun went below the horizon, the night air was getting chilly. 본즈 shivered a little and Booth put his arm around her to keep her warm.
“I think we had better go in before 당신 catch a cold, Bones.”
The 다음 day, Parker wanted to do 더 많이 exploring with 본즈 while Booth and Hank fished from the shore.
While they walked Parker was telling 본즈 about how all his 프렌즈 had brothers and sisters and that he would like someday to have a little brother. 본즈 was a little surprised and didn’t see a branch in the path. She caught her ankle and fell down into a small creek. She tried to stand up but her ankle was badly sprained and she could not walk. Parker said. “Stay here 본즈 I’ll go get my dad.”
As Parker ran to his dad, he was yelling. “Dad, 본즈 is hurt. 당신 need to come right away.”
Booth quickly dropped his fishing gear and followed Parker to where 본즈 was.. He lifted her off the ground and started to carry her back to the 선실, 캐빈 when she insisted that he put her down. She tried to walk but the pain in her ankle was too much and she almost fell again. Booth quickly scooped her back into his arms before she could protest. Back at the cabin, Booth suggested that they go into town and have her ankle looked at to make sure it was not broken, but 본즈 said it was not necessary as she knew that it was only a bad sprain and just needed to give it some rest.
After dinner, they all sat around and when it was time to go to bed. Booth carried 본즈 into the bedroom and made sure she was comfortable. He even put his 베개 under her ankle to ease the pain.
The 다음 morning, the swelling had gone down put her ankle was still a little sore so 본즈 decided to just sit on the porch and rest her ankle. Hank said he would keep Temperance company while Parker and 새우 explored the woods.
Hank and Temperance were playing dominoes and enjoying each others company, when Hank asked Temperance if she ever thought of having children. She did not know that Booth had already told him that she wanted a baby and how she planned on getting pregnant.
“Well I have given it some thought and I am thinking about it.” 본즈 answered.
“Yes but first 당신 must find a man who will make a good husband and father.”
“Oh I don’t want to get married. I just want to have a baby.”
Hank responded. “I guess I will never understand the younger generation. Everyone is too much in a hurry to notice things 또는 enjoy the experience of life. In my day, 당신 found the right person to love, marry and raise a family with.”
“Artificial insemination is very common today.” Temperance answered.
“I guess so but think about if the doctor makes a mistake. It has been known to happen, there was a lady in England who gave birth to twins and one was black and the other was white. “Hank I’m sure those are unusual cases. Besides I have already picked out the father for my child.”

“Yes, the father of my baby is going to be ………………” Just as she was going to tell Hank that Booth is going to be the father, Parker and Booth came back to the cabin.
That night 본즈 was having a very restless night of sleep. She kept tossing and turning. She was even muttering in her sleep.
The 다음 morning Booth asked her about it. “Bones what was bothering you? 당신 kept tossing all night.”
“Oh I just had a bad dream but nothing to worry about.” She answered. She didn’t want to tell Booth that she had a bad dream about having a child.
That 일 they all took turns fishing in the 보트 as it was their last 일 at the lake. 본즈 finally caught a fish. She could not believe it nor could Booth.
As everyone was settling in for the night, 본즈 kept thinking about what Hank had said about what if she is given the wrong sperm and it is not Booth’s baby but someone else. That night she dreamt that she had been given Howard Epps’ sperm and it was his child. In her dream she was crying out for Booth and hitting her doctor.
She woke up when she felt Booth’s arms encircling her and hearing Booth’s voice trying to calm her down.
“Bones what’s wrong you’re screaming in your sleep.”
“Booth it was such a terrible dream.” They both were sitting up now.
“What was it?”
“I was dreaming I was having someone else’s baby and not yours.”
“Bones, how could there be a mistake like that. They have my stuff and everything will be all right.”
“Booth, maybe Hank is right.”
“What are 당신 talking about?”
“He said that the only way 당신 can be certain that 당신 are getting the right semen is 의해 making a baby the old fashioned way.”
“Bones, what are 당신 saying?”
“Booth, it’s about having sexual intercourse.”
“Bones, it’s not just about having sex. It should be about making love.”
Booth could feel her starting to pull away from him when he said love. He did not want to let her go but did not know what else to do so he released her from his embrace. She slowly turned her back to him as she lay back down on the bed. Before his head reached his 베개 he saw her shoulders shudder. He placed his hand on her shoulder and gently turned her around so he could see her face. What he saw were very moist eyes, eyes that were on the verge of tears.
“Bones talk to me.”
“Booth I know 당신 said 당신 loved me as your partner, but …….” She hesitated in what she wanted to say. She was afraid that Booth did not 사랑 her any other way and if she told him she loved him he would leave as others have done in the past. As she looked at Booth’s face, she remembered what Hank had said about not being afraid.
“Booth I don’t know if 당신 could 사랑 me other than as a partner, but I have to tell 당신 I 사랑 당신 not as a partner but as a man. A man I want to be the father of my children.” 본즈 watched Booth’s face as she said this. She was waiting to see what would be the response.
Booth could not believe his ears. 본즈 just said she loved him as a man and she wanted his children. Booth released his hand from her shoulder and moved it to her chin. He tilted her head to look at him in the face while he said. “Bones I 사랑 당신 and I want to be with 당신 the rest of my life.”
Slowly both their faces moved closer and as their lips touched they both knew how much they loved each other. As the night wore on, they consummated that 사랑 several times over.
That night in the other bedroom, Hank awoke where he heard Temperance cry out. He lay there listening to the muffled voices in the 다음 room. He could not hear what they were saying but he was hoping that 새우 would finally tell her that he loved her and that she would not be afraid of telling him she loved him. He had known for some time how much they loved each other. Finally the voices stopped, and then he heard the sound that put a smile on his old face. “I figured that because she looks so happy and satisfied this morning.” Hank said with a smile.
Booth just gave him a quizzical look. Hank ignored him as he went to talk with Temperance.
“Temperance how was the fishing vacation?”
“Hank I want to thank 당신 for everything.”
“All I did was inviting 당신 to come along.”
“That and that 당신 told me not to be afraid.”
“By the way about the baby you’re planning on having, 당신 never did say who was going to be the father.”
“Hank I think 당신 already know.”
At that point Parker came running up from the lake. He was excited on showing something to Temperance.
“Bones look does this look like an arrowhead?”
“Yes it does Parker.”
Parker then ran to show his dad.
As they got ready to finally leave, Booth took one quick look around to make sure they had not left anything behind. He saw that Parker and Pops were already in the car. He saw 본즈 looking out over the lake. He walked up behind her and wrapped his arms around her. “What are 당신 thinking Bones?”
“Booth I was thinking about how my life would have been had I never met 당신 and how sad and empty it would be.”
Booth pulled her closer to him and said “Come on 본즈 let’s go home.”
