As 당신 can notice I'm a huge Bangel shipper, I can say I just 사랑 them to death!
They are everything I admire and look for in a relationship. I 사랑 watching romance, true, passionate 사랑 and heartbreaking moments.
That is all I can think, of when it comes to Buffy & Angel.
Having a true 사랑 is such a rarity, not everyone have that luck to find that very own 초 half of an 사과, 애플 (this is how we say here;)). Buffy and 앤젤 had, not for long, but what they experienced with each other can not be compared with anything else.
How special it has to be, if the man who walks the earth over 240 years, truly fall in 사랑 with a sixteen 년 old girl at age 241 ?.
And this is the first time for him. How this girl's 사랑 for him has to be strong and incomparable with anything else if she say:
"I would have given up everything I had to(...) I loved him 더 많이 than I will ever 사랑 anything in this life"
True 사랑 happens only once in a lifetime, what Buffy and 앤젤 had can not be replaced. They gave all they had to each other. They were one soul living in two bodies.
What was one of the reasons their 사랑 was so strong is the fact Buffy accepted Angel's demon side, she wasn't afraid of it, 또는 feel disgust about it she still trusted him fully,
and wasn't acceptance one of the most important qualities in a relationship ?
Remember that wonderful scene in 'Whats My Line Part 1' ? Buffy's 키싱 앤젤 when he's face turned into 'vampire face' ?. He feels awkward about that, he doesn't want her to seem him like that,
but she simply says " I even didn't notice" and kisses him with all her love. That is what 앤젤 experienced never again. That understanding & full acceptance.
Everything about them is so epic and so beautiful. The way they met, the way they fought for each other. Their first 키스 &
every time they said 'I 사랑 you'. No one could stand between them. They always had eyes only for each other. When I watch their moments, it seems like world doesn't exist for them.
They are in the Bronze full of people but the only thing 앤젤 is interested in is her, and each night Buffy spends in the Bronze surrounded 의해 her 프렌즈 something is missing, she's hoping to find him in the crowd.
I'm not going to discuss one 의해 one all the incredible moments they shared, because we all watched them, probably not once, but after this extremely heartbreaking & emotional
season 2 I will never ever believe any of them was able to fully 옮기기 on and truly fall for someone again. There will always be Buffy & Angel. And no matter how hard anyone would try it can not be changed. This is what 당신 call a bond, true love.

My Spuffy opinion:

A lot of 팬 all over the years asking the same old question: was Buffy in 사랑 with Spike ?

I have to say I couldn't stand them until finale 'Chosen' episode.
Season six became my least 가장 좋아하는 because of all those perverse sex scenes, which were gross to me and completely unbearable to watch.
I can understand Spike in all of that: sarcastic, cruel vampire, but Buffy ? That was so not her. She just couldn't be herself. All caused 의해 the hard moments she went through.
Torn out from heaven back again to this cruel and absolute reality. She used Spike as her boy toy/sex machine just to forget all the pain for a while. There was NOTHING between them but sex.
Spike was obsessed about Buffy, all those photographs he put on a 벽 in his crypt, blond mannequin and finally BuffyBot.
All those things were nothing but some kind of unhealthy sexual obsession, there was nothing beautiful about that. Whats the worst, there was attempted rape, it was hard to watch she had to beg him to leave her alone, he couldn't understand 'no' word.That is the moment I hate the most about them.
Do 당신 still see the 사랑 ? I don't.
It's little bit different though when Spike gets his soul back, well he's still sarcastic and I don't see that much difference, but finally he's able to deeper thoughts.
Coming back to the main question: I think Buffy was never truly in 사랑 with Spike, she was 더 많이 "what to do about it". Yes, she told him those words right before his death, but I think this is why she said this.
He became her friend, someone close to her, when everybody had doubts about her, even the closest friends. Spike was still 의해 her side and believed in her. He was helping her for a long time, and look after Dawn when she was...dead.
She felt, that she owes him something and this is just what he wished so bad to hear, but even Spike himself knew that wasn't true, he realized that, while he saw that full of passion Bangel kiss. He knew that no matter what there will always be Angel, and he can't beat that 또는 change that.
I don't like Spuffy but I think I have to be fair with Spike and mention his deep speech about 'Buffy being the one, and the only thing he was sure of'. And then the night they spent together in each others arms. That was pretty.
The 다음 일 Spike confess that was the most beautiful night in his entire life. Did Buffy said it back ? Of course no. We all know why and we all know what and with whom were her most beautiful moments.
Still it can be noticed she's flattered 의해 those words and kinda moved. Not surprising - the truth is she's the reason of his change. That's something
He went through a lot of suffer to get his soul back, all for one special girl.
He sacrificed his own life to 안전한, 안전 the world this girl loved so much. He died like a hero, and I think that kind of a death was adequate for the guy he was. Also I think he didn't care about life anymore.

My Briley opinion:

The thing about Buffy and Riley was never that much annoying to me. He was something, 앤젤 talked about she should have.
But the thing is he couldn't give her full happiness. Their relationship was nice. He loved her, but from a time perspective I don't think he loved her the way he was talking about. Buffy felt good and 안전한, 안전 with him, but she didn't 사랑 him back.
“Buffy’s like nobody else in the world. When I’m with her it’s like…it’s like I’m 스플릿, 분할 in two.
Half of me is just…on fire, going crazy if I’m not touching her.
The other half…is so still and peaceful…just perfectly content. Just knows -- this is the one.
…But she doesn’t 사랑 me.” (The Replacement, Season 5 Buffy)
And here's the point. Buffy never opened in front of him, there was always some kind of a barrier
between them. She gave away herself and her 심장 to one man once, and couldn't do it never again in that real and special way.
Bangel connection was that strong no one could 십자가, 크로스 it. Riley knew whats wrong so he left. Buffy didn't seem to be that much worried about it.
She would do nothing if not this Xander's speech. But it was not meant for them. She didn't get on time.
But wait, didn't he claim Buffy's the one ? In season six he show ups, with...his wife, and it looks like Riley found his true perfect girl, it seems after all Buffy wasn't that much 'the one' if he found another 사랑 of his life and so quickly.
What I dislike about Briley is also the fact, he had problems with accepting her destiny and enormous strength. The fact his girl is stronger than him was something he couldn't bear. And wasn't it all about acceptance as well ?
One of the hardest moments in Buffy's life was a 로스트 of her mother, Joyce. Where was Riley then? It was 앤젤 who she called for.
She wanted him to stay forever. They kissed. The way only they could kiss. The only thing I can see here is Bangel's eternal love.

Summary:

When Buffy killed 앤젤 she broke down into tears, she left Sunnydale for few months, because she couldn't stand the place that reminded her about everything. She wanted to be alone, grieving.
In 'Chosen' when 앤젤 said he want to fight 의해 her side, she didn't agree she said, she cant risk his life, but she could risk Spike's ? Just sayin'
At first I thought she did this because she couldn't reject Spike, who was 의해 her side for a long time, while 앤젤 was in L.A. And probably that was one of the reasons, but the other is, Angel's death would be something she could not handle. Not again. When Spike died, she shed a tear 또는 two, but at the end she smiles and seems to be peaceful and in some way fulfilled. Of course Spuffy 팬 would say, we will never know there was just no time to actually show how his death would affect her, but to be honest Joss knew was he was doing.
This is just the sign they could never really happen.

Episode 'I Will Remember You' was beyond beautiful. I can't stand the fact Buffy couldn't remember those unbelievably beautiful moments, so dear, so precious and significant for both of them. Seeing 앤젤 in tears broke my heart, listening to Buffy's speech, and repeating her over and over again " I will never forget"... This is something they both dreamed of, watching their happiness made me so happy with them.
Watching 앤젤 being so excited about such a simple things, seeing him as a human, when I heard his 심장 is beating it really moved me. I realized how his eyes looked sad before. Buffy's pain was so real, so hard. This episode just tells me everything. Their 사랑 was something hard to imagine, only they know.
After all, they both tried to 옮기기 on, tried different relationships, because thats what life is. But did they ever again give away their hearts to someone else ?
Did they ever stopped loving each other ?
I can tell, they didn't...

What breaks my 심장 the most in 'Chosen' is the scene, when Buffy asks: "What was the highlight of our relationship ? When I
killed 당신 또는 when 당신 left ?" 앤젤 looks down and I'm convinced he's remembering the events of "I Will Remember You"
It always hurts me that he can't correct her...

After 글쓰기 this 기사 I stared to look for significant quotes/opinions to Bangel and about them, here are the few:

James Marsters: He doesn't like Spuffy and feels that it’s perfectly clear in the finale that Buffy IS STILL IN 사랑 WITH ANGEL.

James Marsters: the sexual relationship she had with Spike was unhealthy.

Angel to Spike: That’s why Buffy never really loved you. Because 당신 weren’t me.

Joss Whedon said himself before the Buffy finale…that the B/A relationship…TRANSCENDS EVERYTHING…..there’s a sign.
